@@amandarumsey686 I think we took Scotland out to eat at 1 week old.. I still remember the look on the hostess's face when we told her she was only 1 week old. Yes, it can be done. You'll be surprised how forgiving people are when they see the baby. Everyone's heart just melts looking at a newborn. and if they do get upset.. Screw them! having a baby is normal and a part of life. My advice, Rip the bandaid off, go to your favorite restaurant, have a nice meal and a few drinks. Take a bottle and stroller with you. If they get hungry, just shove the bottle in his mouth.. We've found bottle feeding in a restaurant is much easier than breastfeeding. 😀

@@micalebgoeswest You're right.. our babies are living similar lives.. I love it!! Baby travel is so much fun. You just have to be much more flexible. We've found that until she's a little bit older we have to be careful with weather. Too many times we've been caught outside in 85+ weather and she gets too hot and starts to get fussy. Also if you guys ever come back I have a few recommendations! The bitter end is a great coffee place that's open 24hrs and it's an old bank building with a warm atmosphere. Grand rapids brewing co has some amazing beer and food Bombay cuisine has Wonderful Indian food and a built in brewery called east west that has some of my favorites. The chop house is a very fancy kinda date night place with great food. There's a few more smaller kinda breweries that I like to go to, three Gatos, harmony, new Holland is a more popular one, but really you can't walk 2 steps here without running into a brewery and you can't try them all 😂

SHOUT! I've lived in G.R. most of my life so at 54, I've seen the city change in sooo many ways, too many to list. That said locals like me forget how much there is to explore in G.R. as the city continues to grow. Heck, a 12k seat amphitheater is going up right next to the Grand River in a couple years. If you can have that plus the 15k capcity Van Andel arena and keep them both busy, you're a highly anticipated growing city. While myself, have to get downtown more often I hope I won't miss the other luxuries of being a mid size metropolitan city.

Grand Rapids isn't a town of 1.4 million people!! It's actually over 200,000 maybe but the metro area is a little over a million including the county and suburbs. But still, a nice size downtown and lots of breweries and restaurants. A great place to live and only a half hour or so from Lake Michigan.
