Could you explain the difference between equity issuances (financing) and selling part of the company (investments)? Was the second one (first, chronologically) referring to assets of the company instead of equity?

Selling investments (like shares in another company) is an investing activity. Raising money via equity or debt is financing. So if we raise $100 cash via a bonds payable, that would be an inflow of $100 under Financing section. If we BUY an investment, like common stock shares in another company, then that’s an outflow under investing section.

Can you try making it automated version because making a dcf, cashflow statment , income statement, balance sheet for every company is very difficult

Unironically martin shkreli had a really solid 20 video playlist on finance, goes over many of the technicals required. Not all encompassing, but a solid intro for beginners imo.
