Today we're comparing two of the hottest bats we've ever swung on the channel... the 2008 Easton Stealth Comp BESR (the bat that was responsible for the shift to BBCOR in 2011) versus the Mizuno VKong02 (the bat that is causing Japanese high school baseball to shift to the BBCOR standard in 2024).

We need to find a bat company that would design you a 1 of 1, most juiced as possible bat, not regulated at all for the world record attempt. They would get great marketing and you would get a juiced bat!

That's hilarious because that's exactly what I'm working on lol there is unfortunately a lot of liability to go against making the hottest bat possible. Hillerich and Bradsby got sued for this in the early 00s when they made the Air Attack 2 during the tail end of the gorilla ball era. In the modem era however, there is little need for a company to sell the hottest bat ever without legal certification, because all you gotta do is get a really good regular bat and take it to a bat doctor for 150 bucks to get it shaved and rolled. You instantly get the hottest bat possible while the bat companies are washed clean of the liability

@@irtnyc 2 different processes for composite bats to increase performance. Rolling is the process of breaking in the bat on high pressure rollers. It doesn't make the bat any hotter than it would've been already, it just skips the work you put into breaking it in Shaving on the other hand is a process where you cut the inside of the barrel wall (metal and composite bats are hollow so that the barrel wall can flex like a trampoline and increase exit velocity) to make it thinner. The thinner the barrel wall, the more powerful the bat is but the less durable it is too

Rolling and shaving don't do anything to increase a composite bats performance they just accelerate the break in process

BESR video would be EXPENSIVE, lots of those bats are 500+ on Ebay with questionable condition (either super damaged or even Shaved/Rolled)

No point to include besrs since the besr regulation was implemented to reduce the power of bats from the late 90s and the usssa regulation was implemented using the same regulation that the late 90s bats said they were using. The better test would be new usssa alloys (virtually the same as besrs in performance but 2 oz lighter) vs late 90s bats vs Japanese alloys vs early 00s usssa bats to see what alloy era was the best If you were to include some 14 year olds, have them swing late 90s drop 8s and compare to modern composite drop 5s

The Stealth comp Reg came out my end of my jr yr 07 and the orange Stealth comp came put start of my Sr Year 2007 I finished off with that bat in 2008. Love that and the regular Stealth bat.

I'm curious as to your opinions of the early 00s usssa alloys. Those bats are SUPER underrated. The TPX Response gen1x was an alloy that came in drop 12.5 oz. The big barrel and small barrel were both amazing

Okay, so, I was in Norman, Oklahoma for a tournament, and we were at some random high school field. The high schools that let the tournaments use their fields also give teams access to cages before the games. In the cage there was a strange bbcor bat I had never seen before. I looked it up and turns out it was a 2014 demarini bbcor Vexxum. I currently swing a 33'' 2023 select power and the vexxum was very similar, 2 piece hybrid, good knob, giant sweet spot, incredible sound and pop. But there was one key difference, IT WAS WEIGHTED LIKE A CURRENT META OR VOODOO ONE. It was like the goods and voodoo had a baby, probably the best bat I've ever swung. Anyway I thought I'd let you in on this in hopes that yall would make a video comparing it to current bats like the select power, goods, and bonesaber hybrid. If you look for it online, Its white and blue. Seriously a crazy bat to swing, like the cat x connect but way lighter swinging.

I have a orange stealth 34 x 31 i barely used I played In an over 35 league I believe I only paid 250 for it. I put it on ebay for 300 dollars sold it in less than 24 hour . I would have given it away until I found out how great it was from this channel.

Should try the Demarini CF3 pitch black. By far my favorite BESR or the Louisville Slugger Catalyst and or the Combat B1 DaBomb Comp. Those were iconic back in my little league days

Another good BESR one was Liquid Metal series by Rawlings, the *Liquid Metal Plasma* was JUICED but most ppl only remember TPX Exo And Stealth from that era your the only person on the internet i think that can find 1 and test it out😂

I know this old, but my teammate had a -5 purple stealth. I've never seen anyone with that bat again. I swear to god, that bat was on another level. It was way better than the other stealth's out there. Very close second was the orange stealth.

A buddy of mine had the orange stealth comp. I swung it once, hit it about 430 off the house behind our school’s field. Then It had a rattle ever since. Customer service said it wasn’t covered so I ruined it :/
