Yorion i still think is better being a bigger flying blocker, thats so important from keeping ppl off of you. Also the companion give more versatility if you wanted to expand to a different color scheme but i think abuelo is still right there

Don't worry. "Bad Abuelo" was an idea that has been kicking around in my head for a while now. Even before Abuelo was printed. Blink a hokori dust drinker during the end step before your turn. Your lands untap normally. Just your lands. 😊

Highly recommend running "Astral Dragon". If you can manage to get it out, you can use it for insane amounts of extra ramp by copying mana rocks or even cheeky plays like creating 3 " ghostly prison"s

Just got my Abuelo deck in the mail. I want to find a way to use Oblivion Ring and Day of the Dragons together. Maybe by using O ring on DotD, then flickering O ring for mass ETB effects. Unfortunately, the rulings on DotD are so bonkers, I don't think it works. Please send help. 😂

Abuelo is so close. If the blink happened right away or if it cost 1 generic less I'd probably pick apart my Ranar deck. Yea, its pretty good with training grounds I'll give it that. Ranar also has clear path to victory with cards like Moonshaker Cavalry, Mirror Entity and Elesh Norn whereas I feel that Abuelo is relying on strictly outgrinding your opponents. Ranar could get some new toys in the Outlaws as well; Plot plays well with Ranar and there is likely to be at least some kind of Plot payoff that cares about cards being played from exile.

What about the new Gandalf so you get double legend and artifact triggers
