The best way to insert foam protection it to reach over the top of your head with the other arm and pull the top of your ear up and back a little. That opens up the ear canal. My favorite part is your shifty eyes when testing the sound reduction. It gives a nice sense of "do I have enough footage for the voice over yet?"

As many have said, Duggee was my favorite part, but I also appreciate the thoroughness and the fact that you went out of your way to put the buds on a level field with the tips. Very helpful.

Fav bit was the weird but "sincere" eyeball movements as you listened intently and compared. Then you introduced Duggee, and he's just cute.

Love that you not only said which song you were using, but why you chose it. I listen to a lot of different noise while I'm working, (podcasts, jazz, metal, blues, audiobooks, latin, swing...) but the fact that you acknowledged that Walk should be recognized for the bass that's played has made me comfortable about choosing whichever buds you decide are best. Respect.

I liked how you demonstrated how you put them in, I've always just squished them, shoved them in, and went to work. Never ever thought of holding them in place for 20 seconds to let them expand fully where they feel most comfortable!

Duggee! My family had a bulldog, and he was my favorite pet growing up! I was going to say Nicole's little headphone dance was the best part, but then that happy little wrinkle ball stole the show!

Good work man, and thanks for helping out with my Jimmy interview. Interesting how there was any variability in sound isolation with them all using the same tips. I guess there was sound coming in through the housing? I will have to check out those Jaybird X3s. Glad to know there is another audiophile out there in the woodworking community, if you ever in St. Louis you will have to swing by and have a listening session.

Thanks for the review. I like the fact that you reviewed just more than one set and told what mods you made to them with different ear pieces. Most are just saying to buy "x" brand and thats it.

Thanks for the report mate, very helpful. One added comment, I bought some of the isotunes brand recently and they died after about a month. I contacted the company and they were amazingly helpful. They sent out a replacement pair at no expense to me and didn’t require me to send back the broken ones. Why do I think that this is exemplary, I live in Australia. Not having to pay return shipping and/or shipping on the replacements saved me a lot especially when our dollar only gets 75c of yours. And they support Stumpy Nubs too, another good idea. Btw mate, just heard that you are coming down here down under later in the year for our new woodworking show. Excellent mate, really look forward to saying g’day if possible, I’ll be the one in the Guild shirt lol. Seriously tho, great news and hope that they sprung to bring Nicole and the kids too and that you get to stay for a little and enjoy what our country is all about, good decent people and great country side, hang in there mate, see ya 😎 PPS, cool new dog 👌

What perfect timing! I was just looking at the isotunes the other day and was about to pull the trigger but happen to already own jaybird x2s that came with the comply buds (that I hadn’t tried) switched them out and I couldn’t believe the difference! You saved me $90!!!! Thanks again for always having great timing with my purchases/ projects!!! Btw. Made one of your guild picture frames for my wife’s vday presents... went over extremely well but now I have 3 orders for upcoming wedding presents for her

Mark, I like how you did this review. Rating sound, comfort and how it blocks out the outside noises. All three are important. I have not found a set yet that works for me. But with that being said, I haven't been able to buy but one set. Thanks again.

i have a pair of the Pro ones that cancel noise. I really enjoy them. Battery life is far better then my phone. Once you find out what color (size) of ear bud you like, order another 3 pack of them. They can fall off if you have it around your neck.
