It occured to me this morning as I am waking up here in the USA, that the metro system of a nation gives you a good idea of what that nation is all about..Her culture, her people and how they act in an anonymous environment, their economic level, their mood...A lot of things that you can observe. That said, when I saw this video the overwhelming impression is very favorable. Russia is like a Phoenix bird that rose from the ashes of immense tragedy in the 20th century to the great nation that is being reborn now. It is all there in this video to see...

добрый день марина I hope I haven't done anything wrong, but one of my hobbies is to put Russian phrases in Google translator and listen, I like the Russian language, for me it's very pleasant, the Russian accent is very similar to the Portuguese accent. 😊 After watching this magnificent video about the Moscow Metro, I was jealous, at 88 years old Moscow Metro looks better than I do at 72....😭😭😭🤣 You know Marina, I admire Russian Culture a lot, especially the Russian people's dedication for their Culture, these stations are fabulous, authentic palaces, I think that few Metro networks in the World have stations like these,It is commendable that russians did not deny your communist past, it was a time in the long history of the Russian people, I admire for not destroying that part of your history, unlike here in Portugal, which denied itself and spoke ill of the previous regime, as if everything had been bad... regimes do not exist wholly good, nor wholly bad, in the end they somehow reflect the people themselves. 💯💯💯 I also admire the simplicity of the Russian people, I watch a lot of videos about your country, even in the most distant villages, the people seem to be kind and simple.🌹❤ If I had to choose another nationality, I would definitely be Russian, what I would never be was American, German or English, they are not my style, that despite having worked with Germans, English and Americans for about 20 years and with Russians too, they were always the friendliest and simplest.💯❤ Finally, I leave a question, "komsomolskaya", has to do with a Soviet youth organization, I think "komsomol" has to do with this organization. I would love to show you our subways but, we recently received, and are taking seriously, the latest edict which effectively bans any filming on Government property with out a permit. And, quite frankly, if I used the English Language to describe the state of our subways, with descriptions of the 'citizens' who got us here, I would be banned by KZfaq. Over the years I grew to know that Metro better than some Muscovites. A lot of memories. It was half the size of what it is now too. I remember the dog. My favorite is victory Park Station. Komsomolskaya too.

Beautiful!!! The soviets recognised people’s yearning for beauty, celebrated and indulged in it. Amazing to think they started to build the metro in the years between the wars, they wanted beauty for themselves but also for their descendants, such generosity of heart by the great Russian people.

that was very nice Marina, the architectural development is vast, original and impressive. the stained-glass work is pretty amazing and its lighting is bewildering. at first I thought the arches were wooden because of the color but they seem to be stone(?), the entirety must have been a major project that took many years. beautiful.

To be 130 meters deep, this subway can be considered a good air-raid shelter, however, if Moscow were to be attacked by enemy aviation, you Muscovites don't take refuge in the subway otherwise this little gem of a monument will be destroyed and it's a shame. 🤣🤣 Don't take me seriously because I'm joking and I would never let a catastrophic event cross my mind either in Moscow or anywhere else in the world. However, this subway is a real jewel of underground architecture and I would say that it was designed to welcome travelers and entertain them while they wait and as an idea it's not a bad idea at all. It doesn't even look like an isolated place that gives the feeling of solitude and an unsafe place. With the statues, the decorated windows, the chandeliers and all the other decorations, it is not only a place of transit, it can also be a place to take a walk and spend some time. I just hope all the stations are well guarded by guards. I have to visit this subway especially to touch those good luck statues. 😁 The train carriages are also well decorated with historical Russian events and notable Russian personalities in order to entertain the passengers even during the ride. Furthermore, the carriages are very technological with free internet connection and USB sockets on the seats. In the end, the Moscow Metro is a very efficient, very elegant, very beautiful infrastructure that must be included in the list of places to visit in the city of Moscow. 😃 Thank you for showing us this jewel submerged in the earth, I greet you and I embrace you. 😊

Вот вы добрались и до метро,приятно,что вы показали его,если уж "Комсомольская" то и вокзалы надо в следующий раз показать,видели как у "Павелецкого" сделали,а ведь котлован был,а теперь красота!!!
