Pu I was taught that purple tint in glass occurs when the glass contains iron oxide. It turns purple over time from exposure to sunlight. Some people collect it but it is generally considered to lower the value of the glass.

Aah, dus die twee brocantes aan de D681, waar wij geregeld lángs rijden zijn de moeite van het stoppen waard 😊. Nice to know!

What a fun video! I wonder if the wooden carving, referred to by the shop owner as St Paul, actually portrays that saint. The sculpture has the requisite beard and receding hairline with which St Paul is almost always portrayed, but lacks his typical "attributes" (identifying accessories) -- the sword and a book or scroll. On the other hand, images of St Christopher almost always portray him with the Christ Child, who he is said to have borne across a river on his shoulders. Next time you're in the shop this might open up an interesting discussion!

Hi! Do those kind of jam jars have a lid? I love them, but always wonder how do you protect the jam from insects or when you leave it in the fridge? If you know please share. Thanks for sharing and have a lovely weekend❤

No they didn’t come with lids. Back in the day people let the confiture cool and then poured wax over it to close the confiture pot/keep the air out or they used cellophane. You could still do that today, I found this article that you may find helpful: www.greedygourmet.com/condiments/equipment/wax-discs/

Ah this is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Another channel I love is the Scotters (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bdxyf9Ce2KmpYGw.html) who are building an amazing tiny house and stone house in Northern Portugal. The dad is a builder so makes the most amazing stuff! Can you recommend any other channels like your one? Always looking for really beautiful and authentic content on KZfaq similar to yours and it isn't so easy to find
