i have dt 770 pros 80 ohm with a lot of bass do you think it would sound bad in games? for example in warzone i dont like the bass boost option but do benefit from it

Your headphones cannot make a crappy stereo or computer sound chip sound like good equipment. Your system is only as good as it's weakest link. The FIio e10 is a great little unit, but it is too weak to use with your headphones, as they do not have the power ot push them adequately.

Or added ability to use high impedance headphones, at least in cheaper end laptops, integrated sound card cannot drive 250ohm headphones very well. Also this have much lower noise floor.

Bit late to answer but incase anyone else wants to know in future, i use Fiio E10K with my DT770 Pro 250Ohm's and seems to handle them very well even with low gain setting.

Install WallPaper Engine through Steam ( or search the cracked version ). It can do this, play own .MP4 files as wallpaper, or see a visual equalizer on your music, etc. :)

sparkplugs au try flac file format using stellio app. For some reason really opened up the details for me with the S7 phone. With that said, I've just ordered the E10K for listening on my pc as that was dire.

It can, i have the fiio e10k and the dt990 250 ohm, but the 990 are treble cans, after getting the hifiman he 4xx i cant bare the sound of the dt 990, WAAAAY too much treble, i dont recommend them.

You would probably benefit with a better amp for those to get the most out of them.

I think the K7XX definitely benefit from an amp, but they don't _need_ one as much as the HD 6x0 series.

(In terms of getting to a specific loudness) k7xx require substantially more current (4x) than HD 650 series and 2x the current of hd 600. HD650 require 1.40 more voltage than k7xx and hd 600 requires 2.5x more voltage than k7xx. In terms of power HD 650 require much less than k7xx while hd 600 requires a smidge more. HD 650 wont' sound much quieter than k7xx at "x" volume. HD 600 will sound substantially quieter at "x" volume than k7xx. Just bothers me when ppl use impedance as the "how hard is it to drive" when sensitivity plays a much much larger role. Furthermore, the lower the impedance the more current it needs at a given voltage/volume. The k7xx starts hitting the current limit of op amps (the device inexpensive amps use ~30 to 50mA) much sooner when raising the volume. The voltage limmit of opAmps is like 30V to 44V - they just need a power supply or battery to give it -> well beyond what headphones need. For opamps, current is the scarce resource while voltage is scarce in portables but ample when plugging into mains. ****If you throw in source resistance into the equation (100ohm), k7xx very quickly starts requiring more voltage than HD 650. I don't know how common high source resistance is but I do know it's a thing. With high source resitance, k7xx is both harder to drive in terms of voltage and current. Conclusions: It depends - but typically yes, hd 650 sounds a little quieter than k7xx but it'll be producing more accurately than k7xx when maxing out your device due to how little current it takes. The hd 600 is an entirely different beast... really quiet compared to k7xx at "x" volume setting and still uses 1/2 the current for a given loudness dB- portable devices will struggle to drive hd 600... TLDR In terms of how hard it is to drive, I wouldn't lump hd600 and hd 650 together. John Johns so what amp would you recommend for the k7xx?

My AKG's, all 3 pair require an amp including my studios that are advertised as being great for mobile use (55 ohm) the bass is lacking in most of the AKGs by design, I think they would rather have consumers use an amp or DAC that colors the sound to their liking.

@@tollph3314 i don't wanna swap back to win7 for various reasons. I have got the FiiO E10K Olympus 2. I don't know about its version. Most probably, I will replace the dac soon. It is sad that the manufacturer is unable to offer appropriate drivers.

If you listen to a lot of classical/jazz or any music that tends toward the quiet side, I would get something with a little more power, like the Fulla 2. Otherwise, the e10k should be fine.

Your OS(windows, or linux or whatever you use) should ALWAYS, buy default, be up to max, you then mess with the volume using your DAC/AMP and/or any volume buttons or dials on your headphones

It doesn't matter because 20hz to 20khz is the absolute limit of human hearing. As people get older their high frequency hearing limit goes down. By the time one is 20 yhey'reclucky if they can heard up to 18khz. Besides musical instruments don 't produce any frequencies above 15 khz.

Unless you buy an adapter (or get a different cable altogether), the 650's default cable is 1/4 inch, so you won't be able to plug em in. I have an Axon 7 as well and I still use a dedicated DAC/amp for my 650's.

Depends on how loud you like things and what type of music you're listening to. The AKG 240s don't have a particularly high impedance, but they're also not very sensitive. So, if you're looking to listen to quieter "audiophile grade" classical recordings and you want them to very loud, the E10k might not quite fit the bill. However, if you don't like things super loud and listen to mainstream music that tends to be more compressed, the E10k should be fine.
