In my opinion what sets Watchfinder gets so right is how they write/script there videos. Just like the watches they review, WF is as detailed. Both Longines and Hamilton, fantastic quality for money by Swatch group, have the same problem with many of their models: Too big lugs.

I’m showing my age here in a big way. Every time I hear Hamilton intra-matic. I get embarrassing flashbacks of the Kodak Instamatic. The originator of the selfie. Don’t argue!

I love how you always bring these watches to life, telling their story in an engaging way that makes you really appreciate the horology behind them.

I have this watch (LOVE IT!) and was going to do a review... but... there's this. The review has been done.

You can't call this a BUDGET watch in capital letters when it's 2000 pounds. There's literally THOUSANDS of watches that fit the "budget watch" category better. For example, a Lorier Gemini with the Seagull movement has the same panda vibe and amazing build quality for the money, a true vintage inspired manual chrono. What it doesn't have is HERITAGE and a Swiss movement, which this Hamilton absolutely does, hence by definition not being a BUDGET watch. I absolutely love this particular Hamilton, but again, it's NOT a BUDGET watch. It's literally their most expensive watch!

I have been looking at a 'Panda' chrono for a while and narrowed it down to the Breitling Top Time, Seiko Speedtimer and the Hamilton Intra-matic. Every time I keep coming back to the Hamilton as the best choice with the least compromises. Now I just have to find one (probably pre-owned) at a price I can't resist. Thanks WatchFinder for the excellent review, it definitely helped in my decision making 🙂

I've gotten more complements on my Hamilton Intra-Matic than any other watch I wear. It's just an all around great watch.

I always seem to come back to this watch when I look for a chrono. Stunning watch and looks just as good on the mesh as it does on a leather strap.

What a pleasant surprise seeing the watch you're wearing being reviewed on Watchfinder! makes you appreciate it even more. Great video as always! I've got the leather strap version, first mechanical watch and I'm loving it. I was afraid it would be too big for my small 15.9cm wrist (although my wrist is kinda flat, which helps), but even with its thickness and big lugs, the watch fits surprisingly well. Love the panda color and the classic racing watch look.

I have the blue version of this watch - one of my favourites. Especially as they are often discounted, making them brilliant VFM. I preferred this to my Speedy - which I sold recently.....

If you want to take another step down in price/prestige but same aesthetic Sugess makes a 1901 powered swan neck 40mm version for about $200 bucks.

This is more handsome yet considerably cheaper than the similar looking Tudor chronograph. The perfect size now for a chrono too. Hamilton are definitely growing in their rankings for me as of late with this, the khaki field mechanical, PSR and classic Ventura as well. Yet all still relatively affordable.

I have the 42mm reverse panda version. It's a lovely watch. I don't mind the size because I'm 6'5" so it does look too large

I couldn’t imagine not subscribing to this channel to the tune of 60% of people watching - this is the single best watch channel on KZfaq by a long shot.

Been my daily for about three months. Does about 3 seconds a day. I changed the bracelet for a burgundy Ostrich strap. More than happy.

Hamilton as a brand in general is absolute VALUE. They got history, they got heritage, they have their own style and character, quality, very reasonably priced, they are cool and recognizable. Non watch people will know what a Hamilton is, because of literally hundreds of movies they appeared in. I think for the money hands down the bast brand out there. I love their watches so much.

I love this freaking watch the American 🇺🇸/ Swiss 🇨🇭 combo is a heavenly pedigree of history function and downright “rugged good looks”

The intramatic is easily one of my all time favourite watches. Even more to the point, as you said, it has provenance, technology and price point. This is a watch I can easily justify. If my wife lets me, of course!

I have the blue Panda version, and it's one of my all-time favorite pieces

I have the basic Intra-Matic (no chronograph) and its the best daily watch I have owned so far

I Believe Buren also joined the ‘intra-matic’ pact, besides Hamilton and Heuer. Buren actually made this exact design back in the days as well

I have a Jazzmaster with ETA 2892, which is incredibly accurate, and yesterday I bought a Khaki Field Aviation automatic with H30 and an 80-hour power reserve with a blue dial. Hamilton watches offer a lot for their price, which justifies their purchase.

I find Hamilton to be under-appreciated, especially outside of the Khaki line. I think they make several watches that punch well above their weight.

LOVE Hamilton!!! To me it's the very best major watch brand at a moderate price. Better than Seiko, better than Tissot, Casio, Glycine, Oris, Longines and many others. And Hamilton's vintage watches are the epitome of unconventional, endlessly creative design, the Ventura being only one of MANY such examples.

This is one of the very best looking chronographs regardless of price. The quality is excellent as is with all Hamiltons. Now the question is do you get the Auto or the hand wound?

Hammy is amazing, especially with the 80 hour movement. It single-handedly satisfied my fix for a vintage styled racing chronograph. I don't need a chronograph to be higher quality than this, if that makes sense. And as an American, I love giving a traditionally American brand some attention as opposed to the usual suspects.

Please make some videos for women’s watches (non Quartz)

Love Hamilton, My daily wear is mechanical khaki field, been thinking about this one, but it is still fair amount of money, might go for a 38mm interstellar watch.

Just had my Hamilton khaki serviced, it came back with a new case, and the old one also. Brilliant.

I would love to see the Tudor 1926 featured. Mainly cause no one talks about it but it is such a beautiful watch.

Have this watch. Thing I don’t like is the date pusher and the thickness of it. Also the indexes and the hands on makes legibility,it’s poor due to reflection.

what about the seagull 1963?

The names of many of those 60s and 70s watches were so damn cool (an overused word, but struggling to think of an alternative). The Intra-Matic, the Jet, the Autavia. Hamilton has some particularly great names. SARB033 doesn't really have the same ring now does it?

Love the design. Had a 7750 Hamilton, superb watch until I looked into service costs.... Can't beat a bit of Pink Floyd 👍🏻👍🏻

Imo Hamilton Oris and Tudor represent great value for money and are the brands I wear more than any other. Love your videos and your passion, but too scared to subscribe!

You should take a look at the Marloe range out of Perth Scotland. The chronographs are in the £975 range and they are stunning.

A1 video! I enjoy the vintage style when it’s got some roots. Someone called my Rolex sub vintage and I kinda laughed just cus the same look was used then dose not mean this boy won’t go to the bottom of Lake Michigan and back

Even at a lower price and still looking more expensive than it actually is, is the Seagull 1963 panda chronograph.

The pushers stick out way too far. Once I noticed this, I can’t unsee it. If this watch had better lume (I believe one should make it strong if going to be used at all) and more compact pushers, and maybe a slightly more compact lug to lug, it would be epic.

Why does the caseback state H384160 where as website states H38416711??

Great video! I'd love to see a video about the different types of lume (e.g. superluminova, tritium) used in the watch industry. That would be super interesting.

I’d take the new Hamilton Intramatic Chronograph H - it’s the handwind, dateless, box sapphire version of this.

Just get the sea-gull panda. The only real compromise is a lack of a date complication. Also it’s between 2 and 300 bucks

Almost pulled the trigger getting this but ended up with an Alpinist instead. It is still on my list though

Mans chose this Hamilton over the HKED63 panda. Most people dont even think of watches being 3k dollars if it doesnt say rolex on them.

I'm always a leather strap guy but that mesh bracelet looks incredibly beautiful.
