Thanks! Really glad you found it helpful! I can’t honestly talk about monitors at this point as I am still using a 6 year old 1080p gaming monitor and it’s pretty terrible to be honest 😂. @@arranpbrown Haha I'm in a similar situation! About to purchase a mac mini and just looking around for something new. Anything I need to know? Does the monitor have to be hdmi etc? Not sure I fully understand what works for the mini's ports
@arranpbrown
@arranpbrown 3 жыл бұрын
@@Grrubb Haha no worries! Awesome. So you can connect up to 2 displays to the M1 Mac Mini, one via HDMI and one via Thunderbolt 4/USB-C. So assuming you are using just one monitor, as long as it has either HDMI or USB-C connectivity, then you’ll be fine. If you are planning on connecting two monitors, the first will be connected via HDMI and the second one will have to be connected via the USB-C port directly into the monitor or using a USB-C to HDMI adapter and then a HDMI cable into the back of your second monitor. Hope that makes sense and helps you out a bit - feel free to drop some more comments if you have some more questions!

I have the Pebble mouse and the K580 keyboard for my Lenovo Chromebook Duet and I highly recommend them. I'm thinking about getting the K380 keyboard you use to use with my laptop (which is pushed back on my desk, making its built-in keyboard out-of-reach). I have used Logitech products for a long time and think they're great quality and function as well as more expensive products.

Awesome! Yeah, I also rate Logitech stuff pretty highly. Still really enjoying these peripherals. As I said in the video, I actually use the K380 for my work laptop in teh exact same configuration as you just described, so I would definitely recommend it - it works great! Hi great video man. Thanks for this. I had the pebble mouse on my m1 air. Is there a chance that I can configure how the Mouse works like its DPI, acceleration. Because for me it feels so streamlined that it feels weird for me coming from Windows. Thanks man, if you can suggest anything thanks.

Hey man, thanks for watching - glad you enjoyed! I don’t think there is really any way to configure the Pebble mouse beyond the basic Mac settings I’m afraid. It isn’t compatible with the Logitech Options software (like the MX Master 3 is, for example). I wouldn’t really expect any further customisation to be honest at such a cheap price!

May I know is your mac mini spec @ 256gb or 512gb SSD? And if it's fine for your your use as a video editing platform ? You probably are using external ssd for the media.
@arranpbrown
@arranpbrown 3 жыл бұрын
Sure, I have the 256GB model with 16GB of unified memory. Video editing is fantastic on it. I use Davinci Resolve and it works very well. I have also used Premiere Pro, which is far slower, so I wouldn't recommend getting the M1 Mac mini if you are planning on using PP. And yes, I edit from an external SSD and it works really well. Thanks for watching, Eric! 🙌

@@arranpbrown wow I’m surprised to hear of yr experience with PP. Well I’m a PP user. I’m just wandering if a higher capacity internal SSD will speed things up
@arranpbrown
@arranpbrown 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it is far slower than DaVinci Resolve as it just hasn’t been optimised for M1 unfortunately. Adobe have recently released an M1 version, but from what I have seen it is not much better. I don’t think it is to do with SSD speed unfortunately. But I can confirm that DaVinci Resolve has very good performance and render speeds! But if you use PP then that’s not going to do you much good unfortunately! I have experience of both because I edit my YT videos on DaVinci and use PP sporadically for work.

Hey man, just hold down the Bluetooth button you want to connect (i.e. 1, 2, or 3) for about 3-5 seconds and it should start flashing quickly - that means the keyboard is in pairing mode and the Mac mini should recognise it. Hope this helps 🙂

Hi Kat, I've not come across that issue before. The only thing I can suggest is that you try replacing the batteries in the keyboard. I'm not sure how long you have had them for but I think the Bluetooth connection can be affected if they have low charge, so might be worth checking. Otherwise, I'm afraid I'm not sure what the issue might be. I hope this helps.

No worries - at least you should be able to get your money back. It sounds like it might be a Chromebook-specific issue with the keyboard, or it could also be a faulty product. Hopefully, you manage to find an alternative!

Thanks for the comment, Oliver! I think the mouse is probably not the best long-term solution, but I still think it's a great travel mouse. I've transitioned to using an MX Master 3 with my Mac mini since making this video and that is an excellent mouse (definitely not budget though). However, I still use the pebble when I'm travelling. Where do you connect the mouse and keyboard?
@arranpbrown
@arranpbrown 2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you are asking, do you mean where do you connect them within the MacOS menus? If it is that, then you just go into the Bluetooth settings and pair them. If you mean physically, they only have Bluetooth wireless connection, but as I mentioned in the video, the mouse also has a receiver that you can plug into your computer if you want to avoid using Bluetooth (but this is still wireless).
