Idk if this is a hot take but I truly think the health gear is more versatile than you give it credit. Its useful on almost anyone, not just tanks, tanks are just even more effective with it. Being able to heal up faster directly gives you more map control because you have to fall back for a shorter period of time.

While not wrong, think about opportunity cost. Why use the Health gear when other gears are available? I agree that the gear does get underrated, but usually, Speed and Damage are usually the best choices, or at least the safest ones. That's especially the case for players who will only buy 2, maybe 3 gears for a brawler

@@Gold_Gamer_100 I honestly don’t think losing damage gear is that much opportunity cost, its moreso speed/vision on grassy maps or gadget gear on specific brawlers that make me shy away from health gear in alot of cases. Its brawler dependent but yeah i use it alot

@@ignite1757I think damage gear is generally better than health because you don’t need to fall back if you can win a 1v1 or scare them into falling back. I think health is good on some brawlers but: any brawler with low health often uses shield, speed is usually ran on grassy maps, damage is good on most brawlers, and many brawlers will benefit from a mythic epic or gadget charge gear as well too.

I agree, on brawlers with more than 6k hp its very useful, i think brawlers with less hp that with just one hit are below the 50% gets really better with damage. Well at least in my opinion

Tick with health gear and well oiled is just so much fun, you can melt any assassin that jumps on you thanks to last hurra (and super if you have it) and then make them rage quit as you heal all the damage they've done to you mid fight

I agree with you on chesters gadget but i find Buzz with his first star power incredibly useful paired with health gear and first gadget especially in brawl ball as you can either gadget up on a wall charging or going suicide just to get the super. The cycling gets so much easier due to health gear as it takes like seven seconds to get back in action .

If you are really good with Ash, you can actually swap damage gear with health gear, in order to regen faster and get back to fight with less rage lost.

Isn't it the same anyways? You're healing up almost completely and it's p much a guaranteed kill, I feel like damage gear helps too much against certain matchups and is pretty clutchy on Mico

Rosa main here: Grow Light + Gadget Charge Gear + Plant Life makes Rosa an absolute menace in Hot Zone, specially if the enemy team doesn't have any brawler to destroy grass And for Sam, Gadget Charge is crucial for him, and I don't know why Spen doesn't have it, you need 4 pulls (except maybe in Heist) because that gadget is the only thing that makes Sam get kills

I consider myself a decent penny player, and I developed a skill so that I can knock away opponents while still placing the mortar in a good position. The main mistake I see players make wiht her second sp is that they put the mortar up ahead to deal extra damage completely disregarding the main purpose of the mortar. It's such a massive mistake because you're taking probably a wholeminute charging the super just to waste it for not even a guaranteed kill.

Hey Spen, why do people go with damage and shield gear a lot when both are contradicting. Damage becomes active when below 50% hp and shield becomes active at 100% hp. So you cant use both at all times.

I think overall you get more value out of the Shield Gear with Spike because of how squishy he is. Maybe in Heist you can use Damage combined with Popping Pincushion, but I think you don't wanna play Spike with low health anyway

I don't doubt you game knowledge Spen, but why are you suggesting run damage gear on 29:39 Melodie? It doesn't affect her notes, it only affects her low damage main attack. Health gear is geniunly so much more usefull on her as it allows Melodie to hel up quicker, keep the position and maintain her orbiting notes.

@@69fp oh ok, I appear to have made a mistake with my claim it does. However it only affects notes that appeared when she's below 50% health, which may still not be that good, as with melodie you just send yourself towards the enemy and it may not replace the notes that are about to hit the opponent. I may be wrong again though
