We scoured online listicles, Yelp, and Tripadvisor reviews and asked locals and foodies what their favorite place to get a burger is in every state. There are many factors in making a good burger a great one. It can be the simplicity of an old-fashioned bacon cheeseburger or the perfect bun-to-meat ratio. We've listed some that have been named best burger in America by Bon Appétit and Food Network, but also regional favorites that locals swear by.

the BUNS from Buns Burger Shop here in PR are magical! They're soft and lightweight, perfect for the flavored packed patties and special sauce. They have dozens of toppings and you can customize your burger however you want! Their onion rings are also amazing!!!

I was really hoping the nosh bbq mac burger would be here from maine (but of course ours had to be one with lobster because that’s all we are known for😂) but seriously it’s so good it’s a burger with bbq sauce and bacon on it and then mac and cheese is made into a bun cause it’s super crispy on the outside so it stays together 🤤 if anyone is in Portland you should try it

I'm from Philly (Pennsylvania). Thank you for showing delicious foods the city can make besides cheesesteaks. Village Whiskey is in Center City aka Downtown in Philly. The area is known for a rich diverse lively atmosphere and a feel like to West Village In Manhattan, NY.

Best burger I ever ate was in Oregon at a restaurant at the bottom of Cabbage Hill. It didn't have a mess of ingredients, but the taste of the meat itself was the best I ever ate. Never have found anything to compare with it since.

OMG can’t believe they said Sparkys in NM! 🌶 ☀️ good job. Sparkys really does have the freshest chile and the best burger during chile roasting season. 🤤 honorable mention Lotaburger. It’s a local franchise we support across the state but you gotta go to Hatch specifically for a Sparkys burger 🍔 ❤️

My Father and I would eat at The ChuckBox in Tempe, AZ before ASU football and AZ Cardinals football (when they used to play at Sun Devil Stadium) games. It was always packed. The burgers are superb.

I wish you would do a list of the 50 best burgers based on burgers made for regular appetites. I get tired of the present trend to try to see how many layers of ground beef and everything else in the world. I don't want a burger that does not fit in my mouth or that falls apart the instant you try to pick it up.

@@cianni3163 literally have only ever been outside of Michigan once, have explored the whole state, and I have never heard of it. The best burgers in Michigan are at a small diner called the telway in Madison heights, or if your really adventurous, a small restaurant called government lake in the town of Baldwin. Edit: also I lived in Dearborn for about 7 years and I’ve still never heard of it

I’ve had burgers in many places. My favorite by far is in Chicago at “au cheval” must get it with the bacon... also must try their Asian chicken. So good. I was also told their bone marrow is amazing as well..... Chicago. We just know what we’re doing here. Most of the time.

Connecticut fact: a lot of people here don’t really like Louis’ Lunch; the hours are weird (even before corona) the burgers are small and the toast they’re served on gets really soggy really quickly. It’s cool that they made history, but I think sometimes the first version of something isn’t always the best

Louis Lunch in CT is the only burger you actually NEED to try. Forget all that other noise. You can get a decent burger in any sizable town these days. Also, your selection for TN is random as hell. I know this is subjective, but there is nothing about that place that is all that special. Should've gone with Dyer's in Memphis IMO.

Good luck with that, but also remember to do some excersice once you do that, since they can have a large amount of calories.

I have to go to that place in San Antonio. The best burger place I have been in that town was San Antonio Burger and it was the best burger I had in a decade.

I was born and raised in New Haven Connecticut and I know no one that likes Louis’ Lunch, it’s not very good, the only thing keeping it in business is the history aspect of it with tourists and all.

@@Tropicalpisces yeah, it’s not that it’s bad, just not worth paying and standing in line for. It’s a pretty bland burger, I could make a way better burger at home; it’s more of a respect for history kind of establishment.

@@hisokamorow8388 I am saddened by this fact but totally understand. I've been to Ted's (but was in a shit mood) so I did not LOVE my burger. Lol. But I very much enjoy regional eats so long as they are yummy and historically sound :)
