Growing up with a love for his Burmese grandmother's cooking, co-founder Dan Anton tells the story of quitting his corporate job and following his dream of sharing Myanmar cuisine with others.
Today Lahpet is the most well known Burmese restaurant in the UK - serving up signature dishes like mohinga, ohn-no kauk swe, and of course the famous tea leaf salad!

As a Burmese, I am very proud to be able to open your shop like this. In fact, there is nothing to dislike if only foreigners have ever eaten our Burmese food. Our food is full of spicy and sour taste, which makes the mouth very appetizing. I wish your shop more sale . May God Bless You Always . 🙏

I recommend to sell the salad different kinds of vegetables. Just like in Burma. Tea leaf salad, Tamarind leaf(cotyledon)salad, small tamarind fruit(paste)and shrimp curry are very good. Ahh..😊 you put it bamboo and dry chili a little in this curry. That dish are match with winter or cold season. And many different kinds of flowers and leaf Salad ( such as Prangipani flowers, gourd leaf, Kai-lan etc..) and soup are very important in Burmese dining-table. Sometimes, we make (Burmese Vegetables Tempura) pumpkin flower fried are really delicious 😋 Try it

It's all about your hard work Dan. You worked extremely hard for years and you still do that I can see right now. It finally paid off I would say. Nothing comes cheap in our lives, eh? Having been to Burma as well as having a Burmese family, I was initially concerned that this guy was selling Burmese food at a high price because it's usually much cheaper... But he's working with authentic recipes from his family.
