This is the Xiumavoid design from several years ago. I've been building a very similar design since at least 1.13, possibly 1.12 - but my current design incorporated a trick from Illmango's "cactus science" videos to improve the throughput a small bit. I use smooth stone SLABS for the floors above the first floor, though any slab will work equally. I prefer green glass to clear, but I've also used other items like cobble for the early starter stage. Cactus AVERAGES about 1 "grow" every 17 minutes - waiting 5 minutes is NOTHING on a cactus farm. Do NOT need a light source. I've build these completely underground and unlit a few times and they still work the same.

i keep forgetting that you're a small channel. i dont get it. such high quality. One thing that would be awesome if you showed was a rate for the farm. This is the only thing that could make this even better! once again, brilliant video and farm!

i did the farm it was very easy and nice video btw but it doesnt want to grow so after 5 min still 0 cactus in the chest can u help me?
