Hi kenny, what a wonderful video at the beach. And all those beautiful rocks just laying out there. Could do some serious painting on some of them.😁 I don't know about that turtle burger though, it looked a little bit too real after it was cooked. Especially the feet. don't know if I could have eaten it. Lol Although I'm sure it was delicious. It was cute something different to try. Thought it was really cool that the owners or management had wood bundles to purchase for a campfire. Very convenient. The sunset was so gorgeous! Someone should have been sitting behind you as you were watching the sunset and painting your profile looking out into the ocean watching the sunset. That would have been a nice picture also. I am not usually an ocean person, I love the mountains and the outdoors and forests. I must say you have picked a beautiful spot. Before we know it you will be camping the San Diego bay area 😂.

Kenny, this may be your finest hour. As an old retired person I happen to live very close to the beach on Long Island. I drive to the beach every morning. So this video I really enjoyed so much. The location you were at was so beautiful. Nothing like the smell salt sea air. We have beautiful beaches here, but that beach you were at was amazing. I loved the big tree driftwood logs on the beach. We don't have those here. That's one of the prettiest beaches I've seen. Next, that turtle burger was the most creative meal I've ever seen anyone come up with while camping. I'll bet you SLOW cooked that turtle burger. The coffee, the dessert just incredible. You finally got something on your trail cam. The crows and seagulls where we are they're always fighting each other in the air. It's interesting to watch. Your camp set up was perfect. Hi Kenny. I haven’t been to the ocean since I was about 30. I went with friends to gamble, but it was the first time I saw an ocean. It was overwhelming. It went on and on. I called my husband and told him how amazed I was. The turtle was a nice added touch. I’ll have to tell my 51 year old daughter about it. Maybe she can make us one. Only we’ll split it. As usual, you picked an awesome place to camp. The sunset was beautiful. Only God can make an awesome view like that. As I get older I really appreciate all the beauty there is in the world. I don't get to the ocean that much either, but it is where I would like to be, 24/7. Never ever, nowhere else, have I ever felt the presence of God more than when I stand in front of the ocean. It humbles me, it gives me peace.

Your 6 hour drive was well worth it I would say Kenny. What a beautiful camp spot! I loved the "kite cam"..haha! That Crua tent looks like it's a great one. What a fantastic camp site Kenny. I’m surprised there is so much driftwood piled up on the beach. I wonder how it all gets there. I’m on the opposite side of the Pacific South-West of you in Australia and I’ve never seen anything like that. Nice try with the go-pro 😊. Lovely painting to boot. Awesome camp….I’m in.

Your experiment with the kite reminds me of my barracks roommate when I was stationed at Ft Bliss TX when I served in the 3rd ACR there in the late 1980s. His name was Joe Hopkins, from SC, and he was into RC model airplanes. He'd build one then fly it in the area we used to use for PT near our barracks. Then he'd crash it, fix it and crash it again. I met him 3 weeks after I got there as he had been on TDY. The first time I met him he was brought home from a nightclub in a shopping cart! He found some widget in our equipment shed at the motor pool tied some parachute cord to it and he and I would try to toss it onto the one story education building across the drill pad from our second story window. We never came close to getting it on it, but an hour before final formation people would see us "fishing," out the window. Then a few months before I last saw him in 1988, we made a miniature hot air balloon. He had a mylar balloon from his birthday the previous February and we figured we'd make a cup and burn some sort of fuel to have it rise from the drill pad. We fashioned a cup out of 1/2 a can of coke and attached it to the balloon. We experimented with floor wax, alcohol, and his stinky cologne he got the previous Christmas. The cologne worked best. So in that hour before final formation we launched the balloon and it got up to maybe 50 feet before it ran out of cologne. It floated back down and we launched it one other time before we had used up all the cologne. I'll pass on the painting. My apartment is too cluttered right now.
