This week I'm traveling further north, passing through Inverness and up to Scrabster to catch my northlink ferry to @ORKNEYCOM and head to the point of ness campsite. This campsite is AMAZING, right on the sea with crystal clear waters and mountains in the background, it looks like it should be in a tropical country but its scotland!

Mate, make sure you visit St magnus cathedral, the Italian Chapel, get the ferry from hoy as a foot passenger and check out the military museum at Lyness, rings of brodiger and stones of stennis. Its my favourite island.

Used to be a fabulous camp site 20 years ago when the majority of people there were walkers and cyclists with tents, a small number of car campers and the very very occasional caravan or campervan. We were there again with our tent in June 20204 and the views were destroyed by the sheer number of campervans. Thankfully we moved away and by the way now at least 3 more sites on Orkney where there are fewer peiple and vastly more tranquility.
