@@kkooks19 wouldn’t you want to use a thermometer to make sure it gets to crack stage? Or is that initial stage? I just thought if you dipped it in just warm mixture it would be sticky on parchment paper?

@@blackbeauty5811 if we were making a new batch of candy, or added water to this mix, we would use a candy thermometer. But because we are reheating candy mixture that's already at the hard crack stage, a candy thermometer is not necessary. ♥️

i know this video is really old but is there a way to save the candy mix instead of holding it in the pot and waiting the next day to reheat it?

after you are done dipping your candied fruit, you are gonna pour all of the candied mixture on either parchment paper or a non stick silicone mat. You can break up the candy and store it in the freezer until your next use. You can do it multiple times!
