I can’t get over seeing funky kong without the bowser bike lol

Funky Kong has Wario/Dry Bowser stats, so he is once again (tied for) the fastest racer in the game

I have a feeling that Troy is only going to play as Funky Kong and Diddy Kong for the next couple of 8 Deluxe videos lol

So, in terms of game balance changes, here's what I was able to find: - No character stats were changed, and all new characters added in this update share stats with existing characters. - The only stat that got changed for any vehicle parts in this update was invincibility, so the time trial meta should stay more or less the same. - Pipe Frame, Varmint, and City Tripper all got buffed by +1 point in invincibility, which actually might be enough to push them into top spot on the meta now, especially since... - Teddy Buggy and Inkstriker both saw a whopping -2 point nerf to invincibility, while Mach 8 and Sports Coupe saw a smaller -1 point nerf. Before this update, Teddy Buggy beat out Pipe Frame by 1 point in invincibility, but now, Pipe Frame beats it by 2 points. Definitely an attempt to push Teddy Buggy out of the meta, but time will tell whether or not it'll be enough. - W25 Silver Arrow, Standard Bike, Flame Rider, and Wild Wiggler all got buffs to invincibility, and now all share an invincibility stat of 4 points, which is 1 point higher than the Pipe Frame. Will it be enough to push the Wild Wiggler back into the number one spot? Probably not, but it should at least close the gap a little. - Streetle, Landship, and Comet also got +1 point buffs to invincibility, though I don't think that'll significantly change their place in the meta. - All tires EXCEPT for Roller, Azure Roller, Off-Road, and Retro Off-Road got a +1 point buff to invincibility. It's clearly another attempt to indirectly nerf the Roller tires, but as with previous balance changes, I doubt it will be enough to knock them out of the top spot in the meta.

Funky Kong is Heavy weight class (like dry bowser, wario); Pauline is Light Cruiser (like Rosalina, Link, King Boo), Diddy is Female Alt.??? weight class (like cat peach, inkling girl, female villager) and Peachette is Low Medium weight class (like Peach, Yoshi, Daisy, Birdo). Idk why did they put Diddy on that weight class, I feel like he should've been speedy (like Shy Guy, Toad, Larry), so we've a new light weight. These weight classes are very good, so all of these characters are viable!!! Peachette belongs to the best weight class, the same as yoshi; Pauline is the second best belonging to the Cruiser class which has very good stats (like Yoshi but less mini turbo and more speed i think); at last we've Diddy and Funky which are viable but not meta, Diddy is medium weight but the worst medium weight class (female alt) and Funky belonging to the Dry Bowser weight class can be used for the fastest combo. I think I've said so many times "weight class"

Seeing funky in this game still feels like a mod, it’s totally tubular dude

Bagging is just as OP as it was before, just you can't park on the boxes. But it doesn't actually cost you much to collect the items, back up and drive into them again going forwards

On Rosalina’s ice world, just before the water section: take the trick ramp on he left side just before it ends, and that will give you enough speed to make it onto the ice

This little room change is such a good feature, means streamers dont have to set up a whole damn tournament just to play with fans LOL

We went from Funky riding a badass bike in Bowser's likeness to a teddy-bear and Bibbybud-shaped buggy. How the meta has changed... And you wanna know the most ironic part? The (Dry?) Bowser-shaped ATV isn't even among the best vehicles for him.

Guys I found a new shortcut on piranha plant cove. When you first go in the water there is a patch of off road with coral in it. However, the orange circle coral has a hitbox, so you can drive of it and skip the corner. It’s even easier with the water physics.

Do you think Mr Scooty is better for Funky than Biddybuggy? I'm pretty sure those two have the same stats from each other (according to the mk8dx builder at least). Or did you make that pick because Mr Scooty is smaller than Biddybuggy in size? Also Funky's stats are similar to Bowser, Wario, Dry Bowser and Morton Great video btw!

12:21 It's not about Nintendo's servers. It's about if someone's internet connection is bad or not. Nintendo has already spend money on a better server in the past. Also Masahiro Sakurai himself recommended to use an ethernet cable to play Smash and other Nintendo games online since wireless connections can get pretty funky (See what I did there? 😎)

Im overall happy with the new balance of the game, but i have to admit im still disappointed that its always the "silly" or "childlike" karts that become meta. It just feels unfortunate that the fast looking bikes, sports cars, and tires are not as useful because of how mini turbo works

It is more BS than the blue shell especially when you are about to use the mushroom for a last minute shortcut at the end and a safe 1-4 turns into 9-12. Not to mention most times when you use the item it only steals weaker items that will barely help the current situation. Only amnesty is dodging the shock

21:21 I actually would like coins as an item if they stopped showing up in the roulette when you have 10 coins. I mean, once you have 10 coins, they're useless, so why do we still get them? It would be more rewarding to keep your coin count maxed out if you get better items, just from the sheer lack of the coin item in your roulette. I reckon there'd be some interesting strategy out of that.
