Thanks for this great comparison video! Have you noticed the “modern” version of the Thursday Duke? It’s not yet available in all the leathers, but the side goring details and shape are much sleeker and more resolved. I wonder how the fit and finish compare to the original Dukes? They share more in common with the women’s version, Duchess.

Got a pair of Thursday Captains last winter. Wore them daily through the entire winter and spring, and have been wearing them almost daily this fall. Love them to death. Super comfortable, always get compliments on them.

Feel like I have to be honest, the Thursday boots do not have the best design for the classic Chelsea boot silhouette, especially with the shape of their iconic elastic panel.

Very helpful. I have a Kenneth Cole Chelsea boot with zipper that is mor of a full Chelsea that is suede with full grain leather interior with comfort sole. Had for ten yrs and to reheel it but that is stellar. I got on their sales rack for $25 (off). Still amazing and aged real well

How are they supposed to feel around the ankles? I just bought a pair and they are perfectly snug in the foot, but loose at the ankle. This is my first pair. Is that intentional?

I have a pair of lace up boots from Thursday Boots and they are very comfortable. It took a few returns to get the correct size but the free shipping helped.

I looked at the Thursday boots and damn, I want the Captain / Brown. I set it on my desktop as a reminder. That is one good looking boot.

Can i wear chealsea boots in summer season?

Gr8 vid. Thanks. I went 12 for my cavaliers and noticed after buying boots for 10 years now that all my boots range in loose and not loose. Some fit perfect some don’t. I went on a buying streak spending a ton of money not considering that sizes vary. So I have 20 pairs of boots all 12 ranging in perfect fit to loose fit. I’m bummed I didn’t notice the size variant early on. Lesson to all: wear socks you’d normally wear with the shoes you are buying. With boots they most often tend to run a half size bigger so take time at store, try both sizes and when buying online buy both sizes send one back. Otherwise you’ll have boots in your collection that you love the fit more than others and fit on shoes is SO important. And it’s an investment if you’re spending your hard earned money so TAKE HEED and try both sizes.

Hi there. I recently got a pair of black suede chelsea boots. I'm used to the shape of a desert boot and thought that the chelsea may be too slim for me. I like them though and I think if I taper a couple of pants I can wear the chelsea comfortably.

Chelsea’s have always been a staple for me, I originally wanted something straight British and I remember my father wearing them to work growing up (he was a suit and tie, daily, guy). I just picked up a pair of C Tyrwhitt Millbrook’s in brown, and I’ve very much a fan. They mold well to the foot, and the leather feels relatively sturdy for the price point. The stretchy fabric also feels like it’s not going to get over-stretched like the older Cole Haan ones I had. I also have a pair of factory seconds AE black Liverpool’s, however I just don’t feel like black Chelsea’s’ look as casual and have the same coolness (I’m not someone who wears black outside of shoes). That being said, the leather is luscious, it’s so smooth, so cool, and has held up well in the Chicago winters. My only issue is that I took the risk with factory seconds and I’m getting squeaking up the back spine of the booth, behind the ankle. I was going to get rid of my older tan pair- the leather had some extreme salt stains, but I used some red wing mink oil which really darkened the color, but added some moisture back in to the leather. They’ve turned in to a great pair of casual city boots that I don’t mind getting scuffed.

The brand new Thursday Cavalier Chelseas are a tremendous improvement on the Duke. Sleeker last, thinner sole, finer goring details, and no rear pull tab. Just a great looking, versatile Chelsea boot, especially in that dark chocolate.

All of Thursday Boots are very comfortable and have held up for me so far. I will be buying more of their offerings. Their men's shoe line was started a few months ans are also comfortable

Lucchese boots are next level. Texas made, American made, and hand made. A pair you should definitely check out is the Lucchese Jonah Roper boots. They are incredible. Around the same price of the chelseas. They have a higher heel and a side zip with that nice suede. Think Bob Dylan

Difficult to talk about Chelsea Boots without mentioning R.M. Williams Craftsmen boots. One of the big selling points is that they’re a wholecut boot which gives a better fit over time.

7 pairs of RM Williams and counting! my oldest are RM Gardner's which are 30 yrs old and I've only recently had them resoled. RM's are without doubt the most comfortable, durable Chelsea boots out there. My eldest son looks on with delight as he'll inherit them, well at least 6 pairs, I'll need a pair for the box!

Thursday it's made in Mexico, in Mexico we have the world capital of shoes and also the leather jackets that Antonio promotes are made in the same city that it's made Thursdays

Honestly, I got $35 dollar Chelsea boots from kohls and they lasted me a year and a half before they got too dirty, not before they fell apart. Also styled for street style. I was very suprised how long they lasted and how comfortable they were.

The only boots I've ever bought were timberland. 6inch ,chukka n I think they're the hiking style. But I'm interested in getting my 1st pair of Chelsea boots

Get the Taft chelsea boots! I have a pair of the Jude boots in tonal and they fit and feel great. I also own a few Thursday Boots as well (chukkas) and I feel like I got more than my moneys worth with these two companies. Customer service is also great with both companies. Thursday uses Goodyear welt, so that's a no brainer compared to the J&M's. T&H made a review video on Thursday shoes construction. I was sold immediately.
