Jumbo Seafood on East Coast parkway has best chili crab in my opinion. Have not ate there in 5 years as I moved to America but I sometimes have dreams about their dish. A pitcher of tiger and a chili crab dish is all I need when I go to heaven.

The chili crab from Ponggol Hock Kee Seafood is good! It’s spicy and flavourful

The last mantou is more like huajuan 花卷 because of the pull apart sections. I prefer that better because they usually add spring onions to give it flavor. I would love to visit all locations. They look so good!

These days most if not all restaurants serve mantou with chilli crab but for "old school" guys like me, I still prefer baguette instead. Can soak up the gravy better.

Chill Crab has took a chance since Pungol days and No Sign Board in Sembawang when they moved out. No longer in for Chill Crab but White Pepper Crab and it has to be either from Palau Ubin or Malaysian Crab.

im a sri lankan crab exporter and we stopped exporting crab one year ago. we dont have crab anymore. these crabs are from bangladesh.

I am one of Singapore's greatest cheerleaders, but there is something fundamentally wrong with 1) the plastic gloves and 2) having the staff do the dirty work! Half of the charm of chili crab is the absolute mess even the most fastidious of individuals (me) comes away with after that war with the crab. Our first chili crab experience was in 2004 - no gloves, 1 small wet napkin per person. 20 years later, we are still talking about it. And for those who are interested, it's really very easy to make at home. And you have access to a bathtub. May there always be a Singapore!
