A good percentage of my knives are blacked out. I picked up this one a few weeks ago and decided to go with the red scales. Absolutely love it!! As far as action on a button lock, this one almost rivals the Ekko! Thanks for the video!!

I got a mini Asticus and a elementum recently on the knife day sale and I really like both of those. I've been eyeing one of those qubits for a little while now, i'm gonna have to pick one up. Can't decide now between getting one of these or a CJRB Pyrite next.

I have an Elementum button-lock and two years later still one of my favorite knives to use. The attention to detail like the milling on the button is nuts. Looking at it under light I realized like damn.. their machining game is on-point 👍 They do 14c28n and D2 very well. Being owned by WE knives who only uses the highest end machinery has paid off big time for them. QSP too.

I just got this variant today from Amazon and I agree this is tops with me when it comes to Civivis. I also have the Altus and like that one but this is just a sweeter looking blade. Getting 2nd for sure and thinking blue one. Blade HQ has purple one w s35 but not high on purple lol . Take it easy!!!!

That’s what I call a beautiful morning sky 👍. Awesome little edc knife imo . Oh yeah dude , the clip looks awesome 👏. Did the screws line up perfect or just a wee little bit off bit still fits ? This and the sentinel are the best bl s I’ve personally felt from any maker . I see they put the slightest cut of metal near the rear tang where the button sits . Works perfect so far

@@doodysdaggers Not great, but it's not broken in yet. It's just so unnecessary... and the flipper gets in the way of the compression lock. I guess that's what's making it weird and therefore fun 🙂

So when did Ridley Scott start directing knife videos?!? Great little bit of cinematography for sure! Awesome video too, people like the Qubit a lot but you definitely put a more thorough spin on it and touch on aspects people don’t mention. A premium version would be extremely bad ass and I’m glad they have 14C on this bad boy it’s been an outstanding blade; it’s also the first knife I actually sharpened from a complete destroyed edge and it came back to like perfectly

I know you don’t care about how knives look when closed, but us weirdos that take it all in. That cubit is good but it’s so subjective. I llllllllll love the look of the closed Chevalier. Even slicker is open. Even sliiickker is I bought the green handle/ black blade and black handle/ stonewash blade and swapped them out so the chevalier is blacked out. The Civivi emblem is even blacked out on them. Objectively though, Civivi makes a knife that everyone could consider their number one. Awesome stuff as always broski

Good point, Civivi had something for everyone. And yeah, looks are subjective for sure. But the super slicey blade, super comfy handle, and super snappy action are undeniable! 😉

I’m curious if you picked up the new upgraded version? Would this be worth getting over the Sencut Serene? I hear a lot of good things about that knife and it’s cheaper. I wasn’t sure if it was worth getting.

You kinda have to angle one screw in to get it in. It’s not a perfect fit but it’ll work. Filing the holes slightly bigger might help

I think the conspirator is better than the qubit. A little bigger and more full handle. Also that little hook when its closed opens a beer bottle... so the qubit is kinda better than all knives.

Not for me +1 blade shape +1 bottle opener -1 for the bounce back on closing being way harder to manage than most knives -1 for the choil -1 for how bad the pocket clip screws and recess look on the presentation side

Just doesn’t hold an edge like I want it to. It gets very sharp, very fine edge but doesn’t last very long

I will agree with him that Civivi stock clips are awful.. some of the worst. I love that stock Kizer one and I wish it fit every knife tbh. The Civivi Titanium clips are legit though, night and day difference. For $12 to get a hunk of machined/milled Titanium that quality isn’t bad at all. Really ups resale value too down the line.

Can't stand an aluminum handle without a steel subframe. Won't buy one of these regardless of all the positive aspects. Good video though. Thanks

@doodysdaggers I had a pocket knife many years ago with an aluminum handle, and no steel subframe can't remember who the manufacturer was. Don't know what the alloy of aluminum, but it lost its hold of the blade at the pivot and deformed. Basically, it fell apart on me after just moderate use. This was back in the 80s. I swore I'd never buy another. Don't get me wrong. I own a 940, but that has a steel partial subframe to reinforce the pivot and lock.

@Stahlwerk88 Oh, I've owned a 110 in the past, still own a 112 that I purchased on my 2nd ship, the USS Inchon at the ships store. But my collection includes Case, Kershaw, Old Henry, Benchmade, Spyderco, Civivi, etc etc...
