Walking through Wally World years ago, saw a great looking black pair of cowboy boots, they were on top of a stack of similar boots in looks, checking further, they were Dan Post, in a $29.95 cheap boot box, appearing unused. Checked with the clerk, apparently they were a return, but were unused and put back on the shelf. They said if I wanted them it was fine with them, no one had any idea why they would be in that box. I did buy them, months later was in a western wear store and saw Dan Post identical boots...for $299.95. I wore mine until my feet got bigger, put them in the closet, when my son was 18, he ran across them there, cleaned and treated them, now he's 25 they're his favorite pair. Still have no idea why someone would return boots that way, just enjoyed them for years.

The only thing about buying used is that shipping usually adds up quickly.

Never thought about buying used boots till I started watching ur channel. Scored a pair of boots on ebay for $30 a couple weeks ago. They showed up and are in really good condition. Just saved myself $150 thanks to you!!!! I will never buy new boots again.

TL sm ostrich CT871 $35 shipped, Justin BR 309 NIB $45 shipped, Twisted X MRSL 015 $33 shipped, Ariat Caiman belly 10010277 $65 shipped, a bundle of Lucchese Classic Goat Black Cherry & Ariat 10005020 black deer tan for $95 shipped. Finding a new or next to new pair of boots on the second hand market may take time but it can be very rewarding!!! Just keep on hunting-You never know what you may find.

I bought a pair of luccheses for 95 dollars on eBay that were store returns. They had a staple or nail sticking up in the insole and a quick snip with cutters fixed that.

just got a pair of JB dillion’s goat leather on ebay for 40$ they look in really good condition they aren’t a super crazy well known brand from what i’ve seen but looking at reviews they are very good and on there website all the boots are 200-300$ and handmade will give and update once i get them in :update i can’t believe these boots are only 40$

also some companies do outlet shops that offer discounted "defect" products. Like tecovas did one and most of the defects were ones that were returned due to size or the chord was off center so they couldn't sell them as new or up to their standard so they sold them at a discount at this pop up outlet shop. I got one of their discontinued 5 year anniversary birthday boots for like 500 and some change, just gotta look for the deals

I just gotta pair from Reams a Boots and Jeans store from here in Utah and the Rubber Sole on the bottom is already starting to wear out. They're Old West Cowboy boots but they only cost me 105 dollars so I wasn't gonna past that up lol.

I bought a new pair from Abilene off eBay and they came like they may have been worn from the way the rubber heel looked. And my dad tried them on wore them for 20 min inside and the leather inside heel started coming out.
