I have put together a tutorial of my favourite crochet ribbing stitches so that you can make them too. I have done so in my usual haphazard, chatty style.

Thank you for showing these Rosina and good to see your podcast again. I have a question as I am relatively new to crochet: is always best to make your ribbing and sew it on to the garment? I am making a shrug and was thinking I could add the ribbing afterwards (as I am not using a pattern and dont really know what I am doing!)

It depends on your project. There are lots of different ways, you can make ribbing separately or join as you go, which I'm saving for another tutorial 😁 there's no right or wrong really.

What do you mean by "pulls in? Narrowest? That's YO sl st with sl st blo.

@@zeensandroger3015 so I am looking for the stitch that really cinches in the most, one that hugs in but is still stretchy if you see what I mean?

@alliehabib1654 if you're looking to cinch in then I'd do some decreases before doing your cuff and make the cuff in a smaller hook than the sleeves. In Rosina's Perfect Cardigan sweater she actually makes the cuffs seperately them sews them in which is a great way to get the fit you want. Re the ribbing I think all will have a good level or stretch so go with what you like the look of! 😊
