If you intend to go any reasonable distance and break a sweat you'll need Lycra. In any case, you'll need padded shorts. Shimano makes great hard sole clipless shoes. Any bike shop should also have a broad selection. These will be the two-cleat variety that mountain bikers use so they are easy to walk around in.

Hey thanks for your advice! Of course you’re right and I’m sure once I start doing more challenging distances, I will upgrade my outfit. The shorts I’ve bought and show in this video are padded, so they should be fine for starting out 👌. I appreciate you taking the time for this and I hope you’ll stay to see the rest of the journey.
