Glad you had fun but please consider your choices about using the combination bit, it can cause a myriad of issues even when little pressure is applied, the small surface area of the noseband creates high pressure on that area which can cause compression of the trigeminal nerve. If this nerve gets too far compressed then the horse can get trigeminal headshaking syndrome which happens when the nerve is compressed and makes the nerve way more sensitive and is incredibly painful for the horse for its whole life ahead. There are many other complications that can come from this type of equipment as well. I am not trying to be critical but please consider this for the well-being of Percy as this condition is debilitating for the horse. Have a wonderful evening

I’ve done extensive research into the bit. Both a bit specialist and my dressage trainer who uses the bits with her young horses and rides to Grand Prix. We chose this due it being kind on the mouth and Percy not liking pressure in his mouth. I understand when fitted or used incorrectly it does put extra pressure on but from all the research I’ve done prior to moving to this bit. I couldn’t find anything to suggest it will cause any issues if used in the correct way.
