On November 26th 2018, the world lost a titan of animation, Stephen Hillenburg, the creator of Spongebob Squarepants, passed away from ALS complications. Now why on earth would I cover "The Best Day Ever" on arguably the worst day in Spongebob history. Well, I'm choosing to remember the best moments, the laughs and all the other best days ever that came before Stephens passing.

I never watched SpongeBob much in the past. It was something I never really got into. But I still gotta say it's said we've lost two great creators of pop culture. Now Hillenburg and Stan Lee will join the Reverend Awdry up in the Great Studio of Entertainment in the sky. But like Thomas and Marvel comics, with the right people and fans, the franchise will still live on for many more years!!!!!!!!!

Great Tribute, Mate! You went from Thomas music to a dedicated Spongebob Best Day Ever version for Stephen Hillenburg's legacy. I remember this song from the end credits of the Original Spongebob Movie and Season 4 episode based on the same name. We're really going to miss, the marine biologist who brought Spongebob to TV and as a Nickelodeon Classic. Congrats on this Tribute and to Hillenburg himself for being a number one and Goofy Goober that's been with a sea childlike sponge for years (just a reference to his work) and always will be ;) 😔💛

i try to at least once a year come back here, to remember him, to remember the reasons why i am who i am now. and honestly, not a day goes by that i dont miss him and miss the joy and energy he brought to my favorite yellow sponge. but i know no matter what a part of him lives on in spongebob, its hard to see but its there.
