@@IamTigger-qe4up that wasn’t Jay… it was Lamorne Morris who was playing Denzel from the American Gangster and was far better than the rest. I just checked the cast sheet and Jay wasn’t even in this skit. You can find the cast list under the original video.

Deff one of m favorite 💯 i dont care what anyone says him playing the Butcher in Gangs of New York it dont get much better than that IMO. Even when he played Daniel Plainview in the movie There will be Blood. He is just different. But Denzel and Morgan Freeman are in my top tier actors as well and i would put Leonardo DiCaprio in that convo as well but i dont think he is as stand out as the others but he is so consistent and has some great films.

@@C-Smith-87 for sure. Freeman and Denzel also have taken roles that display their range. Flight comes to mind for Denzel Washington while Freeman plays to his strengths of being calm and matter of fact in most of his roles. I don't consider DiCaprio up there yet but he doesn't take roles that have depth. Django was a missed opportunity imo. Wasn't bad just wasn't great like all of his roles. Basketball ball diary was ok. This is based purely on acting as an art form and not based on popularity or mainstream opinion. Acting is a dying art form right now.

Denzel is one of the GOATS 🐐,No questions about that. He is in the same category as DeNiro, Al Pacino,Daniel Day-Lewis,Morgan Freeman,Jack Nickelson,Marlon Brando,Hanks,Leo,Anthony Hopkins,Brad Pitt,Joaquin Phoenix,Johnny Depp,Gary Oldman,Dustin Hoffman,Clint Eastwood,Robin Williams,Paul Newman,Robert Redford and I have to add Will Smith in there. Will was the biggest movie star in the later 90’s and 00’s. Tom Cruise was also in that category. But Denzel especially in Malcom X,Glory,American Gangster and Training Day ,he killed those roles. Absolutely killed them. Denzel is in my top 5 greatest of all times,no doubt. He won Oscar’s for Glory and Training Day

I agree. Denzel’s performance was Oscar worthy even though the story took a lot of dramatic liberty’s. Frank Lucas was a total scumbag piece of shit. He lied about a lot of stuff in his book which the movie was based on. But Denzel killed that role. In my opinion it was one of his best roles and the is saying a lot because his roles in Malcom X,John Q,Glory and Training Day were all Oscar worthy. Which he did win Oscars for Glory and Training Day

I don't think there is a best actor or actress of all time. There are so many amazing actors/actresses. It's all about preference but it can also depend on their range or the type of movies they are most known for. Anyone who can play any character & make me feel is incredible. One of my personal favorites that wasn't listed is Robin Williams. He played everything & I believed it. Another couple that I don't think we're mentioned are Anthony Hopkins, James MacCavoy, Ben Kingsley & there are probably others. Also, George Clooney is underrated as an actor. If you've seen his emotional performances, he made not be one of the greatest but, he is incredible.
