I love how the Samsung Smart Monitor M8 is the center attraction instead of the usual bulky PC case. It is a powerhouse packed with many compatibilities, making the desk setup minimal yet multifunctional. Nice. Hope to win to upgrade my 6-year-old monitor.

This monitor looks like a good alternative to the Apple Studio Display. It looks nice and has a lot of similar features, such as a camera (my favorite feature). It would go nicely with my Mac Mini.

Glad you’re doing better man, the community missed you! The thing that does it for me is the sleek design with minimal bezels and the auto source, Samsung has been killing it. Keep up the great content man.

My favorite thing about the monitor is how it’s easy to switch between different modes, it is literally everything you might need in ONE monitor instead of having a screen for everything. I am also in love with how it looks, it would be so nice in a small dorm room!

It’s so hard to find a a white monitor that ticks all the boxes for me but the Samsung M8 definitely seems like it does! As someone dealing with chronic pain, and no longer watches tv on the coach for that reason, this monitor would be amazing on my standing desk with all the built in streaming options. I really like the simplicity of your desk setup, and it just goes to show that with some good planning & research, beautiful desk set ups can fit any budget!

I love that the Samsung M8 is a desktop monitor and a smart tv. This and the slim design, make it convenient and practical for the price.

For me the best feature would probably be built in airplay and smart tv. It’s so neat to have them at the desk, but also to be able to have a truly wireless setup. Glad to see you back making videos Jonathan, stay healthy! 💪

I love that they doubled it as a smart tv. With living in a dorm and not having much space for a tv this would fit perfectly so I can get school work done and watch something to relax!

I like the HDR and the fact that it has airplay and is a smart tv in it too... super convenient for a monitor if you want to disconnect your laptop and then still have that on the background and use your laptop from a different location!

I really appreciate how the display is minimalistic and not just a cheap plasticy black. Have been looking for one for a long time. It has that Apple aesthetic like the apple pro xdr display and I love (as an Apple user)

As a college student, the dual functionality of a monitor when I need to get work done and a smart tv for when I want to relax is really helpful.

I do like the camera functionality on the Samsung. The fact that it’s detachable makes it very versatile and gives you options between the monitor and my laptop’s built-in camera.

Two things I like about this monitor is the versatility, as it can function as both a monitor and smart TV. The other thing is the compact-ability as it is able to fit in spaces with not much room available.

My favorite thing about the Samsung monitor is definitely the USB-C on it so I can just use one cable for my setup since I use my laptop as my main source. A lot of monitors with UCB-C seem to be higher on the price charts too, so I appreciate how much more affordable the Samsung is. Also the detachable camera is just amazing!

I like the fact that the monitor has USB-C connectivity with power through. It can help free up a port on my macbook air and also make my desk less cluttered with cables.

4k + 32inch + HDR10 + No need of external PC + Thin af Bezels + Smart TV built in 👀❤️. I remember (about 10 years ago) using a hub to convert my TV into a PC monitor along with a CPU and Cable TV connection. I use to play NFS most wanted and watch KZfaq on it whereas my parents use to watch their news and serials on it. This is the first time I've seen all of these in one monitor without any external clutters. This is insane! 🔥👌🏻

My favorite feature is the 65W USB C, it's a very underrated feature because it can be so minimalist while using only one cable to charge and use your laptop spontaneously.

I love the simple and minimal design of this monitor. I just brought an MBP; I'll seriously consider this for an MBP desktop setup.

Love the minimalist aspect of the whole design. The almost bezel-less M8 helps to amplify the look and the fact its a 4K monitor at that price point really makes it irresistible

I like how clean and simple this setup is and agree with most of the choices, the only thing I would change is the desk as I need something bigger to fit my pencil case and books when studying. The star of the show has to be the monitor though, I love how it can replace multiple devices that would otherwise take up space and resources. No need for a streaming sick or apple TV, separate camera, speakers, Echo dot etc. Bluetooth built in is also a huge win since windows bluetooth sucks, shame its not sold in Australia without having to go through international shipping.

simply i love the small form factor of everything used in there, the whole setup is just proper in size

I really liked the multiple media functions of the M8!! 32 inch screen is now the right size for productivity and the entertainment when you need it.

Honestly the 65W pass through charging is a GOAT. I remember when I’d plug in my laptop to my monitor, sometimes it’d switch to that to “charge” (because it just uses whatever was plugged in first, even if I plugged my charger in right after) and then it eventually dies because… 5W spec :) I’ve always love your videos man, especially your “50 gadgets under 50” style-videos too, I’ve bought so much from those I can’t even count. Your tech review videos are also amazing too, whenever you upload and I see it in my feed, I pretty much always watch it

I love that integrated camera! Such an elegant solution to the usual bulky webcam problem with wires everywhere. Plus it’s white to match my setup!

I've been looking for a monitor like this forever!! I have a small room and often use my current monitor as a TV, but it's so cumbersome and I have to crank the brightness way up to make it usable for movies and stuff. Love that it has the smart capabilities built-in!

Best feature of the monitor is that you can watch 4K content from services like Disney Plus or HBO. While you can just go to the web browser on your computer, you're usually limited to just 1080p or less due to DRM restrictions

For me the best feature is the Smart TV functionality. i’m a student so my monitor doubles as my TV but all my fellow classmates out there know the pain of opening your laptop and waiting for it to load up netflix whilst your food gets cold 😭 this would be a clutch feature alongside the screen size which dwarfs my 24” monitor. great video as always John, hope you’re feeling better 🙏🏾

The detachable web cam is 👌, along with all of the added smart tv functionality. Making this a solid option that saves a ton of space for those of us living is smaller spaces.

I really like these desk videos. Nice minimalist set up. Can’t believe how many features the monitor has. Love the idea of a smart TV / Xbox set up with it too. It does it all.

The best feature of that display is the design itself. So minimalistic, it'll sit well in pretty much any aesthetic.

Not many peoples mention this, but my favourite feature is the fact that you can hook up a USB-C portable SSD to the web cam port on the back of the monitor, and play movies/music of it.

Woah. That monitor is the star of the setup. It has tons of features I’d kill for. It’s got a built in webcam. I currently using my canon DSLR as my web cam, and the flexibility of having built in speakers is great. I also love that it has airplay. Good job Samsung, and good job Jon. Fantastic setup.

I don't know what they're isn't to like about the monitor, I really love the thin bezels. The removable Camara is a top notch idea and the small foot print just pushes the monitor over the edge.

I do miss these setup videos! My favorite feature would be the large 4k panel and also the auto source switching. Things that streamline my work process and take away work from my brain is super helpful for me throughout the day.

I like the minimal design and love the included Tv experience with the remote. Also the size is 32" so it'd be a perfect upgrade.

That Samsung monitor/smart TV is amazing! I've been struggling, trying to find a space where I can work and play some games in comfort. Sadly, I live in a tiny apartment with my SO and our son. Because of the lack of of space, I had to get rid of my desktop PC and switch to a laptop. And as convenient as a laptop is, the screen is too small and I still have no room for a desk. The only space I have is our dining table, which isn't comfortable enough and a small chest of drawers in our bedroom. I've been planning on buying a TV for the bedroom and this monitor is the answer to all my woes. I'd be able to watch movies at night and do everything else during the day and it would sit perfectly on that chest.

As a scandinavian i like the minimalistic design of the monitor and it would look perfect in my white/black minimalistic setup.

That monitor is definitely my favorite feature of the setup, great if you have limited space for work + entertainment! The fact that you can charge your laptop with it is just what you need to keep things clean.

I got to say my favorite feature of this monitor is the visual footprint. I been trying to get a minimalist work at home setup and it's been rough trying to figure out how to maximize my space but keep the visual noise to a super minimum because I need a quieter work environment and that brightness is a big selling point. Also, I'm super stoked to see these setup videos return, I need the inspiration lol
