It's not about race it's about money , we too would be represented if we have the money

We’re saying the same thing. It’s interesting that Asian families are wealthy enough, interested in enough, and connected enough to buy their way into these elite social circles. For a long time it was the case that it didn’t matter how much money you had because it was about social connections among specific kinds of white people. It’s interesting, and has a correlation to high proportions of Asians/Asian Americans in elite academic institutions as well, since those schools often operate around legacy status and who can pay to get in.

@@TheBlackVelveteen as someone part of the Asian culture I can say that the Asians are actually opening up to the western society more and more. I guess it's globalisation, wealthy Asian elitist were a long time thing and they had their own society and honestly they didn't really try to mingle till globalisation was much prevalent. It's not the white didn't let the Asians in , Asians didn't bother up till now. (if you know Asians they are still very much a closed off society for the most part )

@@TheBlackVelveteen sorry to burst your bubble, but Le bal has run an aggressive PR campaign in India and invited celebrity kids annually for years. Indian elite was a very insular group, and western couture houses, magazines, even the mEt Gala has been actively wooing them. No question of buying their way in. The end game of course is to open up the markets to western brands.
