One thing that has been help me is chest higher and facing target and keeping better control of my push away.

Letting my hand have more time to do what I need to do at the bottom aka flat spot. And by increasing that I can come up the back and get around it. It's a work in progress but I can tell it's helping

Swings looking pretty good. Your ball role in my opinion looks much better now. You could bend more at the knee and swing more to the inside possibly. It appears your swing comes around a bit. With the wrist that only matters in the deadzone. Your swing with be looser if you use a strong wrist position rather than cupped. But if you want to increase rev rate you can load your wrist and elbow in the deadzone. Also its not a fair comparison. You were throwing the desert tank back then hahaha. Cant wait to continue seeing your progress and growth. May the carry be with you. 💪🎳

Hang in there it will get better better. I know I should work more on timing and release and I do try but not as much as I should. Hopefully you can inspire me and others to practice more

Try working on keeping your trail leg down, that will help you stay under the ball. Your leg kick up, that causes your upper body to tilt to far over which makes you come on the side of ball oppose to being under the ball. Also, maybe take a step up on the approach to help you shorten your first step which seems to long.

Part of what I can see, you have your hand cupped rotated to the left before you even take a step. That's going to cause you to get on the side of the ball instantly. You may want to rotate your hand to the right and start from that position. That should help you stay under the ball and it will give you more variety in shaping your shots or "flattening" your hand.

For me it is a high back swing , getting low , doing the yo-yo effect with elbow and flicking/ coming around the ball fast and over throwing the ball with always falling off balance, and that is now . Then i was standing up straighter like almost up right , actually rolling the ball and being nice and slow and staying in my finish position. I am taking your advice. The next time i go practice i will be trying to be up straighter , stay balanced, rolling the ball and not try to over throw the ball. Thanks for the tips on what to look at.

Still way around it. You heed to "feel" like you're way inside the ball when it gets to your ankle (just before delivery) but in reality you will be just about right. Put a peice of white tape on your axis so you can watch as the ball travels down lane. You'll get a much better idea of how you get out of the ball.

I have been working on these drills for some time. I can’t tell but on your back swing as it is coming down bend you elbow and really get under the ball. Then soft wrist your thumb will come out first and fast!

I've always had a big problem with consistency, too. What I notice from you is you tend to get off-center a lot. What I mean is falling off to one side or just generally getting off balance. I do this, too, although my big issue is leaning back instead of staying forward, with my weight over my left foot. Your last shot in this video showed that perfectly, where some of your other shots didn't. I think if you stay focused on finishing straight and forward, your release issues will go away. The shot from a few years ago showed this too, where the one from a few days ago you were finishing out over the ball. I could be wrong, but it's what has helped me and I suffer from similar issues. My problem is consistently replicating the good form and good shots. There are days it just doesn't go right and nothing I do changes that. Keep at it, you'll get the good feelings back.

Hi Luis how are you? Great video. There’s a lot that I have to work on. I have Asperger’s which is very high functioning, autism and I am very difficult things with sometimes gross motor skills but it’s more the fine motor skills. The guy that runs my Proshop is a former PBA bowler name Frankie, May M semi friends I bowl with they watch me and why make consistent is because I never get my arm straight. Sometimes I can get some strikes even if I’m bowling incorrectly I’m just having trouble when I go through the swing, getting my arm up as I’m finishing the swing, how do you do that plus more importantly consistently?

Luis, I noticed your hand position is still quite different from 3 yrs ago to the one step drills. If you watch from your push away to the bottom of your swing, 3 yrs ago your hand was way farther inside (closer to your leg) on the backswing. In your current drills, while it was better, it was still in a weaker position. If you can move further inside the ball you might "spin" it less often. Make sure in your starting position your hand is further under the ball (5-6 o'clock) instead of off to the side (4-5 o'clock). Best of luck and keep up the good work!

hey luis copped the p5 as my first ball and im liking it so far other than hooking hard at the backend what other ball could i add to compliment this ball for 3 ball arsenal ? want to stay with storm/ 900 global and roto

Start the ball moving a tiny bit sooner. Your late timing makes your wrist break. Watch Marshall Holman or Del Ballard. Their ball passes foot and foot is still moving. This will relieve and wrist tension in wrist and stay behind ball.

Making a video of yourself is such a simple thing to do, and it can expose things in your game that may surprise you. I'm working hard to change my release to get under the ball and up the back, and when it feels right the video just verifies what I did....That last shot just looked money, and I think you hit every single key you were working on.

Luis, where is the best pro shop in Vegas to go and get fitted? I want to see someone who will watch me throw it and calculate all my specs and PAP. My previous drillers never really take that time. Also want to get my thumb and pitches verified.

Hold your ball straight to your side. In this position you can get behind the ball but not really under the ball. With the ball arm straight cup the ball you will always be behind the ball. Now bend the elbow you will really get under the ball with this. Bigger rev rate and roll.

Look at your hand position on your backswing at about waist level. You go from behind to the side and behind again. Makes it harder to be consistent with your release. IMHO

I thought watching all these videos would help me, but I am probably less consistent than I was before I started watching Brad and Kyle, Darren...etc. It's definitely cool to watch, but I think I may also be spending too much time "watching" than doing. There definitely needs to be a balance.

In my armchair opinion It's your swing that's the main thing I would work on. It's too muscled. Your push away is fine but your timing becomes very late at the foul line (maybe because you prefer late timing) and you do this by controlling the speed of the swing on the up, at the apex, and the downswing.

Ur getting too much spine tilt now… before u were staying up not bending forewarn … spine tilt will create several issues.. you’ll start pulling down instead of letting ball drop into swing, b you’ll get grabby.. stay up On the ball… when u were doing ur practice u were up on the ball that’s the thing that changed everything!! Stop bending foreward so much
