In Mortal Kombat 11, you can unlock Johnny Cage as the announcer. But he dosen't just announce the characters by their names, in fact he has about 3 unique nicknames he gives to every single character when announcing them, and many of those nicknames are references. For example, whenever you select Cassie Cage, he'll sometimes announce her as "Mini Me"

In Gears 4 there is a reference to Gears of War 2. While in the graveyard, shoot the marked graves. These graves have letters on them, spelling out Maria. Once done, all of the enemies will die, and a ghostly form of Dom and Maria will appear at the steps.

I remember getting the bucket head Easter egg by complete accident and thought it was just a thing that happened until my friend told me to shoot the buckets until a troll face appears on them

There is another Easter egg in the first game that I remember. On one of the multiplayer maps (I believe it’s called rooftops) there’s a broken window near one of the spawn points, and if you throw a smoke grenade through that window you’ll see a silhouette in the smoke of a guy on a toilet

You missed the best one in Judgment in my opinion: During the first mission as Sofia, iirc, there's a sign you can read that says "Carmine Life Insurance" which is a twofer reference to a skit video called "Carmine Buys Life Insurance" and due to the fact that just about every Carmine has died in service. Only one who didn't was Clay.

Gears of war 3 and gears 5 ver 1.0 had the toast easter egg dialogues when you play MP, it works using an incendiary grenade or the flamethrower. It is really rare to hear and works only for delta members but my favorite is marcus and dom since they use the original line. Gears 5 removed the use of a lot of callouts after operation 2 if i remember so that's why you need the launch version for make it work.

What I absolutely love about Gears easter eggs is in a lot of cases the characters actually react to them.

Technically every Carmine is an easter egg to Start Trek's red shirts always dying, carmine being the tone of red used on said shirts, and they always die, Clayton Carmine being an exception because he's just built different Also A - Anthony Carmine (Gears 1) B - Benjamin "Ben" Carmine (Gears 2) C - Clayton Carmine (Gears 3) D - Lizzie's dad, why he's not in Gears 4? E - Elisabeth "Lizzie" Carmine (Gears 5) F - maybe in Gears 6 G - Garry Carmine -(Judgement)- edit: he's the one in 4 for some reason

I was about to say for those who don't know about Gears or have yet to play the game almost all easter eggs that are interactive you must play at the highest difficulty unless it's the 2 most newest games Gears of War 4 and Gears of War 5 aka Gears 5 it's the one thing Eggcellent forgot to mention in this video which is indeed an important detail

Gears of war 2 was the first ever video game I played. I was 8 years old (say what you want) and my uncle who was 24 at the time and I would stay up so late playing co-op and the horde survival man i miss those days

In gears of war 3(Act 4-3)if you interact with all the ammo boxes that always fall without fail, then after the last one(near the pool area where you fight some lambent humans) there’s a giant chicken flying an ammo box airplane or dragon, that drops four cluck shots 😁🐓

I don’t know if you have covered this before, but did you know that in Fallout 4, if you open your Pip-Boy and then wait long enough, your character will shake the Pip-Boy, smack it, or a few other different animations?

Captain Eggcellent in Blade and Sorcery Vr when going to the Greenland dungeon on the map and one of the randomized rooms you can find Excalibur on top of a pile of stones. You could probably find a clip of someone who found it if you don't have me on her but if you want I could try to find it and send you the footage.

There's an Easter egg in gears of war 3 on the multiplayer map checkout. You have to find a shoot a number of top hats and activate the fire alarms. Doing so triggers a dancing wretch with a top hat

I know of a Star Wars Battlefront 2 easter egg. It is on the Takodana 4 player map. I don’t have the instructions for it right now, but I will get it. It also has references to a few other things.

6:43 I'll try to sum it up. Its because the gnasher in the game was basically a peashooter, leaving the games favourite weapon seriously underpowered, sometimes being even a 3 shot kill at point blank. They only had 4 multiplayer maps at launch vs the previous games 10 and 4 Overrun maps, 6 skins at launch (+1 DLC) vs the previous games 32 (+4 DLC??) leaving the game feeling stale rather quickly as you don't even have enough different characters to make up two different teams of unique players. Overrun was also rather unbalanced despite being rather good fun. They changed some basic controls like using the dpad to select weapons to using the Y button, speaking of weapons you can now only hold 2 firearms instead of the 3 in previous games (2 main, 1 sidearm) The locust were removed from multiplayer leaving you to fight human vs human which did NOT go down well and overall the game basically felt like it should have been an add on to Gears of War 3, but they just padded it out a bit more to release it as its own separate game, perhaps because Gears of War 3 already had a rather impressive RAAMs Shadow campaign DLC. There were other issues, but these are the mains ones from the top of my head, the story is certainly worth a play through and Overrun is something that I seriously enjoy, a bit of a guilty pleasure, Overrun is the thing that has kept me coming back to play the game for years, even if it is only a handful of games a year.

I'm never good at finding Easter eggs unless it's something that is blatantly not supposed to be there like how in the new Horizon Zero Dawn you can find the God of War statues. But I honestly doubt I would ever find an egg where you have to do certain tasks to achieve it.

I managed to actually find an Easter egg I have yet to see you cover! If you go down to the hospital level of the rig you will find on one side of the room a skinned man on a operating table, and coming out of his chest is what looks to be a chest burster from Alien. Love your videos and am always looking forward to the next release, with the hopes that my Easter egg may be featured in one! ♥️

In deadrising 3 the dlc bike the thrasher from episode three of the untold stories when trying to drive while the hand brakes is on (trying to do a donut) the back wheel lights on fire unlike any other vehicle

Gears of war is such a great franchise. They not only made games, but also comics and outright full novels. All are Canon as far as I know. Re-reading (or rather relistening since im listening to it on audible) the first gears of war book now, called Aspho Fields.

Hey Captain, in the game Stray, you're able to knock buckets of paint off ledges in I believe every level. Could you see if there's something to that? Because despite being multiple things on the edge of things, it only gives you the option to knock off paint cans unless the mission calls for knocking something off for a specific goal. I feel like there's gotta be something there, because, to me, it seems weird they'd do that. I hope it is something and not just "haha cats knock things off stuff"
