The Hawk redemption started when he broke Demetri’s arm and felt bad about it. Then when he heard Johnny was opening his own dojo. He’s been Kylo Ren fighting between the dark and the light. It wasn’t out of nowhere or just for the finale.

Throughout the whole season Hawk was 2nd guessing his decision on Cobra Kai. It started when Kreese kicked out some of the Cobra Kai members who are now in Eagle Fang.. Then he questioned Kreese when he brough Kyler into Cobra Kai who was Hawk's bully. Then Hawk didnt like that Kreese brought Robby into Cobra Kai, who was the one that put Miguel in the hospital. Hawk realized he was just being used by Kreese.

When Miguel told Hawk that Johnny was starting a new dojo, you could see Hawk had a brief smile and look of excitement on his face. Also, after they saw Kyler bullying Demetri in the cafeteria, Miguel said, "So these are your friends, now?" I think that really got Hawk thinking that his "friends" were assholes and he was on the wrong side.

I thought Eli‘s redemption was quick as well but I think he had second thoughts right after he broke Dimitri‘s arm. He had that look of regret and confusion on his face. I feel like he was thinking about it since then and when another opportunity came to break Dimitri‘s arm again, he came to his senses. I’m glad their friends again.

Agreed. Hawk was questioning his behavior way back in season 2 after he trashed the Miyagi dojo too, so he's had doubt for awhile but after seeing Kreese basically embrace Robby just because he was Joh`ny's son, which was his plan all along. He was dropping hints to Johnny about it in season 2 as well about Daniel training him.

This episode is peak Karate Kid/Cobra Kai. Ali was the thing reason they started fighting and she was the one who ended it. Hawk’s redemption was so good too having him realize all his friends were on the opposing side and his new dojo mates were all the bullies he started karate to get away from. I loved the scene in the last episode with him, Tory, Kyler, and Robby in one room because in the beginning of the season he told Kreese he was ready to be the new champion and all those people were brought in by Kreese to become that champ. He never had faith in Hawk the way that Demetri, Miguel, and Johnny did.

Really love that Hawk realizes he was on a team with all the people he hated(Kyler, Robby and Tory) while his best friends (Demetri and Miguel) with Johnny and Daniel.

Of all the characters, Demetri is the one who forgave the quickest. Imagine your best friend breaking your arm. Would you be so quick to forgive? This shows Demetri's heart and goodness. For me, that elevated him into one of the best characters on the show, and going into season 4 and 5 he continues to climb the ladder.

Seeing.Kyler fighting with Miguel triggered Hawk to turn. That was the moment. Thiugh it was a progression with hints if regret in the last 4 episidws.

If you watch the last few eps or so there were signs that Hawk wanted to leave Cobra Kai. After breaking his buddy's arm and Johhny talking to him in the school and Hawk wasn't liking Kreese putting Robby before him after the snake heist. So, to be honest there was signs Hawk wanted to leave Cobra Kai. Enjoy all three of your reactions so keep up the entertainment.

I agree season 3 is the best. Storytelling was great,impact of 4 returning characters was great,more emotion,great script especially in episodes 4 & 5 & of course backstory for kreese. Yeah season 3 really does tale some beating. Season 4 though had more enjoyable episodes.

Such an amazing episode, with the whole segment of Johnny and Ali and Daniel, that whole Christmas theme house fight and another one take shot in the fight! Hawk having that full circle moment and finally coming around and then that final fight between Kreese and Johnny/Daniel.. all around a great episode.. and that phone call Kreese makes at the end.. Can’t wait for the reactions for season 4!

Hawk has been showing signs of flipping all throughout since he broke Demetri's arm. He had ambivalence about Kreese and the new recruits several times, but the final straw was when he realized he was on the side of Kyler, the guy who bullied him the most, and then seeing his best friend Demetri being ganged up on by those two Cobra Kai students. Watch episodes 5 through 10 and you see it in Hawk's face how he was conflicted. It's subtle, but it's there.

Cobra Kai fixed up some holes and threads left from the Karate Kid movies. One is with Ali and the way she was abandoned and made to look bad after Karate Kid 1. Now we know the whole story and she was one of the heroes of season 3. She was instrumental in helping resolve the rivalry between Johnny and Daniel. It is still not fully settled between the two, but it was a first step. Seasons 4 and 5 continue that path to a better understanding and relationship for Johnny and Daniel.

Well there were lots of things . But i think the final straw was literally Eli's bully high fiving him. Realizing.. He's on the same team as Kyler? The guy who made him feel small and weak? Then he sees bullies holding down who used to be his friend.. To break him arm.. Again??! Krease kicked out all of the "weak" kids... Brought in bullies.. pulled in Robbie Keene .. he finally realized Johnny was right, Krease didn't care about him. Krease didn't make him Hawk. Johnny did.
