I appreciate how you put everyone on game! Not a lot of people would share what they use and how they do it! I was wondering what you would recommend to do shirts,hoodies, sweats etc? Does Vinyl work or would you recommend a certain heat press? -Thank you!
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 4 жыл бұрын
vinyl works on all pf those things. good way to get goin. when it comes to doin hoodies and sweats. since those materials are thicker i would suggest a heat press with an easy adjustable pressure knob. cuz you'll have to apply heavy pressure but also adjust for the thickness.

Also for those that can do it, not for everyone depending on your credit Heat press Nation offers Affirm, where you can pay monthly for a press, i just got my new one TODAY and it's about $45 a month through. Can do the same thing for the Cameo at Heat Press Nation. Walmart also offers the Cameo with Affirm. As well, Alot of the time Walmart will offer the Cameo 4 for $278, you can take that price to Michaels and they will Price Match that (as long as its shipped and sold by Walmart) and they will also BEAT the price by 10%. Saves you a little extra Bucks there. Also trying to sign up for Affirm does NOT affect your credit so if you ger rejected, it will NOT harm your credit in anyway and that is listed on there site.

Still got my Amazon press 15x15 for about a year. As soon as it breaks I’m buying one from HPNation. The 15x15 size has worked great from as a starter since I have the circut. Which only cuts 11.5 x 11.5. Once that breaks I’m getting the Cameo plus for the 15 inch roll. Should make life a lil easier with bigger images.

So I really want to do my own pressing and selling. I've got my domain name and going to start creating my site and post my designs. I guess it comes to buying the equipment. I'm finally looking to start purchasing equipment. Thanx for all your vidz and support with giving us real-game. Question: I'm thinking about picking up the silhouette cameo 4, 4"-12". Are the transfers within a particular size? What is the difference between 15 inch vs 4-12 inches, with cutters? My bad, I'm not sure if my question is clear enough.

Whats up bro been watching your page for while. I want to start by first thanking you on being so informative and keeping it 100. I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on a set up. I want to just start printing my own shirts because Im tired of buying from the big brands. I would love if this could escalate into a small business being that I live in NYC and know a lot of people and small business owners. I also have 3 boys 15, 11 & 1 so I’m hoping I could teach them how to use it and maybe turn into a small hustle for them. My question is do you think I should buy the Cameo 4 plus and the 15x15 press and get it over with. Idk if most shirts are less than 15x15 or if 15x15 would be the ideal print size. The price isn’t the issue but if I’m most likely not going to use the 15x15 I would get the 9x13.
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 3 жыл бұрын
design size is all that comes down too. will be creating designs bigger than 9x13? or will all your designs fit that dimension. nothin wrong with 9x13 but this is where you gotta be honest with yourself on what you wanna create. 15x15 is a cool all around press. size is good and versatile. so if your getting the cutter that cuts 15" sounds like a 15x15 would pair up good. cuz you can get the 12" cameo 4 and the 9x13 and save on money that way too.

Sup Big Brandoh! What's the selling point for HTV versus screen printed shirts? Why would customers choose HTV over screen printing?
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 4 жыл бұрын
lets say the customer only wants one shirt. to screen print that, you would have to coat the screen with emulsion, let dry, burn the screen with the design, Shoot out the negative, let dry, set up the screen and make sure it registers with the platen, place a shirt on the platen, put the ink on the screen, flood the screen, print, take the shirt off and cure it in a conveyor belt dryer. now you gotta reclaim the unused ink, clean the screen or clean and remove the emulsion to reuse the screen. Done! lot of work for one custom shirt. HTV load the color vinyl they want, send the design to the cutter, remove the vinyl and weed out the negative space, heat up the press and press it on the shirt. done! htv easier to do from home, less messy, takes up less space. perfect for custom orders, 1 offs and shit like that.

sorry man. i dont know of any shirt thats like the 1301 that ships to Belgium. you can try contacting Pro Club. their "comfort" shirt is like a 1301 but cut different. cotton feels the same tho

Is it worth getting the 15 inch for cameo and heat press? Or 12 in enough? For shirts, sweaters etc. Thanks again for the help
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 4 жыл бұрын
i used a 12" cameo 3 for years. i just recently got the cameo plus. so you'll be good. i did shirts and hoodies and decals with it for years.

Ayyy! Great info. I need me a slide out draw heat press! Brought one from ebay cause the ones in Australia sold by companies are so expensive! Pretty happy with it tho.. does the job.. Whats your thoughts on weeding designs that are detailed?... i find the design ends up coming off (small details) when weeding.. Thanks
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 4 жыл бұрын
weedinng sucks. hahaha stuff thats really detailed, if its htv. i weed it out on my heat press. i'll heat it up, lower the heat down to the bottom. warm up the lower platen and then slide the drawer out and lay my htv down and atart weeding. i got a vid showing the process. for decal vinyl i use a small light table.

Sorry Kahlam but i dont know anything about that printer or setup. i dont print any transfers from home. i use screen printed transfers. my sublimation printer is a sawgrass sg400.
@doseofjoseph_

use a Epson WorkForce 7720. or 7710. go to amazon buy the refillable cartridges and make sure you buy sublimation ink (unless you're just using transfers)

Does the cameo plus have the print n cut option?
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 4 жыл бұрын
do you mean, full color print from the cameo? and then cut with the cameo? if thats what your asking, No! it just cuts. but i think you can print something out on a regular printer and load it up to the cameo and cut it out. i dont do that but i think theres vids about it on youtube. i just use it to cut decal vinyl and heat transfer vinyl.

Is the 9x12 from hpn practical for tshirts
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 4 жыл бұрын
yup. but it also depends on your design size. if you plan on desiging bigger than 9x12 you would need a bigger press. but if your designs stay under 9x12. you'll be good
