Welcome Everyone!
Today we will be talking about some of the best extracurricular activities to do in high school in order to get accepted into college after attending high school. I will do my best to incorporate a wide array of different extracurricular activities as I know we all have different interests. This will include activities such as high school sports, clubs, volunteer work, and many others! As a whole this video was created in order to help more high school students find an extracurricular activity that they can both enjoy and use to get into college. I recommend that you watch this video until the end so you don’t miss out on any scholarship opportunities that may come with certain extracurricular activities that students perform in high school. What extracurricular activities do you participate in?

(I’m in junior high instead of high school, so that makes a bit of a difference). My electives are band, theatre, and choir. I participate in solo and ensemble competitions for band and one-act play competitions for theatre, but since our choir isn’t actually official, I haven’t done anything extra for that. I’m in National Junior Honors Society, and I participate in UILs, which are competitions limited to the state of Texas that are mostly academic related with a few fine arts exceptions (I do music memory [memorizing classical music and answering questions about the composer], spelling [self-explanatory], dictionary skills [Answering questions using a dictionary], maps graphs and charts [answering even more questions using maps graphs and you get the idea], and modern oratory [pretty much debate without an opponent].) I do a lot of volunteer work including delivering meals for the elderly and picking up trash at public parks. I get that this isn’t an extracurricular activity, but I’m a straight A student. Sorry for the long reply.

Track, golf, junior roller derby, part time jobs, link crew, student government, math tutoring, peer mentoring, hosted a few clothing drives… tried a little bit of many things.😁 One thing I wish that I did differently was stick to one or two of those activities for longer periods in order to build up stronger and more specific skills.

Is there a realistic way for a student who is not good at sports to do it? I want to say I exercised, but I am not good at sports. What is the way for a student who is not good at sports to participate in school sports?
