I can’t wait for Beckham to watch all his footage one day, when he’s older, and realize how strong he is!! As an adult with cerebral palsy, life definitely has tough moments, but we are strong souls. Watching Beckham is like hearing of Landon Bingham’s Journey when he too started “Now I Can”. Landon has made such incredible strides and he’s always saying “I should be in a wheelchair” and yet he’s walking and doing so many wonderful things. Don’t give up Rachel. This program does AMAZING things for kiddos with C.P. They are so kind and dedicated and strive so hard. Good going little man. You’re amazing!

As a former OT assistant I can truly tell he LOVES being challenged with these new skills! His face just lights up and I can see those gears turning when he’s figuring things out! This is so incredible for his cognitive development and building his confidence in doing new things. I cry many times watching Beckham learn new skills bc he is so determined. He is one special boy. So proud of you Mama for always being his advocate and finding him this life changing program! Go Beckham Go!! 🤍

It's amazing to see how much he's accomplished so far in this short of time..he's even enjoying his sessions..they make it fun for him..Rachel..you and Hunter should be so proud of what Beckham is doing.. This therapy was the perfect decision you made.. This seems to strengthen his muscles..has Hunter been to any sessions? Stay positive and strong..

Beckham is doing awesome. So glad he is doing so well. The therapists are great working with him and lighting him up in so many ways. He is letting them work with his legs more because he is building up a trust with them and it may hurt a bit while they are doing it, he may feel so much better when they are dome with him. Go Beckham Go!

Beckham works so hard and I think he was showing off a bit on the spider when he was standing and then jumping in it! 😘 He looked exhausted in the car after so I’m sure he will sleep well. He is quite amazing to me - he takes it all in stride and still has his beautiful smile. May God bless you all. ❤️🇨🇦🙏

Absolutely amazing Beckham, what a strong little man. This is the same program that Landon Bingham from Our Life in Holland goes to as well. I love his little face in the spider, he looks so proud but also, am sure it is an amazing feeling for him.

I have CP and live i Denmark. I think it's very interesting to see how other countries treat People with handicaps. When i was a Child, i thought it was Nice having my mother with me to training. It helped that she talked to the trainer so i could concentrate on my training and not be nervous about them looking at me.❤

Like a baby, when they see their mom they only want her to hold them. Even tho they actually like their dad and nana too, when moms there they normally only want her. Also the program could have moms jumping in and changing things too. Which hinders the process I bet.

Am new 👋. This is the best therapy I have ever seen. I am assuming there is a plan to move on from the bunny hopping to one leg at a time? That bungee thing was amazing and very clever. The mirror room was clever too. Pretty cool programme. Defo going to binge watch some to see all about you and the family

Agree that you need to push him. If you have trouble with pushing him and he is in tears from pain, walk out of the room and let these highly skilled and educated therapists work their physiological magic. I think you being there makes Becks reliant upon watching you rather than using his own brain to think things through. I swear I see improvement, especially keeping his head straight up. Self reliance will keep him from heavy depression in the future. Free him. Let go during these sessions. Watch him if you will, but without comments and a camera in his face. He must learn to trust outsiders, and to learn to think for himself while there.

You nailed it with saying Spina Bifida. In some ways SB is very similar to CP although it very different also. Do the kids in his dame time slots/program have the same break/snack time/a way to get to know each other?

Bubba kicking a soccer ball is unrealistic. To walk, speak, and learning to read will be major successes. And I am sure the Hughes would be thrilled with that. He won’t be a gym rat, a mountain climber, or a doctor, but he can be an educator, father, employed, and happy with his life. There is so much we don’t know about his condition or his prognosis. Bubba was very seriously injured. Keep expectations commiserate with the outcome of his birth. I have never seen this printed but I believe the hospital should be sued for taking three hours to remove Bubba from his mothers womb.

@user-kq5uz1zp7u I was referring to Beckham kicking a soccer ball to his namesake, as a metopher. My son too was born with a Type 4 bleed on the right side of his brain. He was born on week 27. There's nothing I haven't researched on CP. I even met and spoke to the doctors who developed the Denver shunt. My son passed away at 5 months due to cirrhosis of the liver from the medicine he was given. It's been 29 long years. I have a very close friend who had a baby with the same bleed grade and had surgery to cut his ligaments. He walks, rides a bike, and yes, even kicks a soccer ball. I prayed every day for my son to reach as far as Beckham is right now. I'm super proud of him and his parents. There isn't anything in life he won't be able to do. This is one Momma that will praise him every time I see a new vlog out. Blessings always.

Hi Rachel my name is Kimberly and I have Cebreal Palsy and I am a adult now I went through a lot of physical therapy when I was his age but I learned how to walk and I know he will too! Tell Beckham he can do anything he puts his mind to. My parents always said I was tough because I never give up on anything and I know we have to try harder to do things but that is what makes us stronger and braver too! I love you and your family. He’s really into it isn’t he ….. 😊😊😊😊 when the therapist put him on one leg on the spider web he immediately looks down at his feet…it’s amazing programme gradually connecting him with his peripheral body parts…yes I agree this was a very good decision ❤

My question is why is the program only three weeks wouldn’t it be more beneficial for him to continue it past three weeks I’m thinking for like several months or a year ? Just wondering I don’t know how the program works

Three terms a year. One term is three weeks.. That is what they hope to do if they can afford it, they said.

Great question! The program is intensive therapy so it is much more difficult and strenuous than traditional therapy. They don't want the kids doing it more than 3 times a year, so that is the max they recommend which is what we plan to do so he gets the greatest benefit possible!

I have cerbal pasley and deaf i used to go phyisic therapy I can walk when I was 3 therapy help me alot to get stronger I don't need bolex I was born 1977 you need to go have Beckenham hearing test he might be deaf

I noticed the gate trainer at therapy is set up for Beckham to put his legs under him and be mobile. I think the gate trainer at home might need to be adjusted as he grows. In the last video of Beckham using the gate trainer at home his legs weren't fully underneath him.

Luckily that is Beckhams gait trainer! So we will leave it adjusted that way for when we are at home between intensive sessions.
