Wow! This brings back so many memories. I used to help my friend deliver papers and Kevin Harris’s house was on the route. We had membership at his Skate Ranch in the late 80’s and spent countless hours having the time of our lives. This video is truly inspiring! Thank you Nigel. I think it’s time I get back on the board! ❤️🙏🏼❤️

I have to comment here. Kevin had stated that a sk8park is very close to the flat ground comp and that probably not one sk8er from the park knows of the competition. I have been sk8ing and BMX since about 1984 and if an individual isn't in the seen or continuously searches for local or national comps it is very difficult to stay informed. My point being is that if an individual or organization wants to stretch they're arms out to pull more people in do something as simple as placing flyers up at local sk8parks. All it takes is one sk8er with a core group of sk8ers to see a flyer and the news spreads like wildfire. There are a ton more sk8er eyes at parks then anywhere else. Especially today with how many parks there are world wide. DO A FLYER CAMPAIGN🤙😎

Freestyle has always been a true gem of style for me, it’s differences from more “traditional” styles such as street and park (vert too). Makes it a treat to watch, always nice to see new generations taking interest too cause eventually it will full circle back

Thank you Nigel, that was a wonderful, in depth showcase of The Round-Up and what Monty has done over the past decades to showcase skateboarding and to re-establish Freestyle as an important part of skateboarding. Kevin Harris' recognition of Freestyle as a perfect "on-ramp" into skating resonated with me over a decade ago, and I decided to help rekindle the flame that has inspired so many of skateboarding's most creative and innovative skaters over the past 50 hears. As Andy Anderson said so powerfully in his introductory video, "it's all just skateboarding". 🙂❤

As always, Great video!!! I NEED to get my hands on one of his decks!!!!! I rode one, one day, and holy cow! He is like the first person in DECADES to look at a Deck and really figure out what shapes are best. Its incredible the time and thought he put into designing that thing! And there is a method to the madness! They ride soooo nice! he designed a Deck that is perfect for ALL types of skating in one board.

I mostly skate indoors during the winter and it made me fall in love with freestyle skating. Street is life but freestyling feels amazing and teaches you so much balance and board control.

spended 20 hours on Andy Deck, i may have recovered my normal muscles, but now i am growing like a entire new set from within XD. day 4 of Shred Recovering lol, i am way too Spiffy .... at least i can step onto the Board Ya'll ( not Rolling XD ) my mind was at war over doing; tail down wheels down tail down etc ... tiktaks are miles away >,< am at getting second foot on board and not shaking ... Ofcourse i can't get from A too B like this, i am like bambi on 4 crutches on 4skateboards on ice... Thanks for all the Shreds Andy, and Nigel TY for You :D

Super cool video! Was at a skate contest at The Los Angeles Sports Arena in the 70's with Russ Howell, he was the best freestyler back then and @ 74 it is awesome to see him still spinning those 360s, in fact still have the autographed Skateboarder Magazine with Russ on the cover!
