Those things should do something for healthspan, and perhaps lifespan too. But to feel younger, you need regular strength training. That and perhaps supplements for bone and joint health is my advice. I actually have better joint health now, at age 76, than I had when younger. This is my supplements aimed at skin, joints, tendons, facia and bones: Magnesium (up to 420 mg for men. But not so much that it upsets the intestines. Food is better, of course, but rather deficient nowadays.) Vitamin D and K2 (5000 IU resp 200 ug of MK7) Collagen 12 -- 15 g and some vitamin C Boron 3 .. 6 mg I don't feel 20 myself, but I do move well!

@@larsnystrom6698 I do strength training Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for 2-3 months now. I do the vitamins and minerals and collagen too. Since 2017 I've lost 232 pounds. From 456 lbs (207 kilos) to 216 lbs (98 kilos). I want to get to 185 lbs (84 kilos). I would like to do the TRIIM study routine. To restore my thymus gland to a healthy functioning level. The problem is the HGH they use is called "somotropic" (I read the research paper) and needs to be injected.

At the risk of oversimplifying -- For rosacea, always check for H. Pylori and SIBO at the very least. Both are highly associated, and successful treatment when found leads to improvement or resolution in a large percentage of cases (suggesting a causal relationship and not a mere association).

When you’re missing all amino acids (collagen has the big group of essentials) you’re missing the glycine for the sleep. As you can tell… narrow focused is an error into… broad based is how food arrives and so should amino acids.

The dose you are on unless prescribed is too high! Don't take more than 1200mg usually the ratio between the two is the same. 1000mg NAC and 1000mg glycine example
@larsnystrom6698
@larsnystrom6698 4 ай бұрын
The research used about 7 - 8 g of each NAC and glycine (100 mg / kg bodyweight). They didn't try smaller dosage. My guess is that half would be effective too. Glycine is used for so much more than just building glutathion, such as building collagen, so 12 g might actually be needed. And there's no downside to taking that much. 2 g of NAC isn't much, so it will be rate limiting for your glutathion production. It might be too little for some with very diminished production, but good enough if you aren't that deprived. I see another commenter saying it's too much. I would say it might be just right. The downside to taking too much NAC might be if it irritates the bowel. It does have an effect on the mucus there. But I see very little mentioned about that. So it might not be a serious problem. Just something to be aware of. The effect NAC has of making the mucus in the lungs more fluid should be only beneficial though.

Hello Doc, thanks for such detailed information explained very well. I wanted to ask 1 question - I am planning to take NAC and Glycine. However, can i also add R-ALA with this combination or should i do this on alternate days. one day R-ALA and another day NAC+glycine ? Please help. I am suffering from Piriformis/Sciatica since 2-3 years and it started with pain in the foot then stiffer calves and then hips and lower back. Did all physio and exercises and now i have come to understand R-ALA might help in getting the nerve health restored. Please give your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance!!

Is it possible that it's coming from stress on the nervous system (like a disc pressure). I had it since end of 2015 and it most likely came from physical stress (added to the emotional stress I had plenty of). The flare ups were so painful that sometimes I would pass out. I had some improvements when I did EMT excercises (with electrodes). I did EMT for a year and regular strength training excercises and due to illness got out of a stressful job. Over time it became less painful. But to really heal it you have to address the root cause and that is heal the physical/emotional pain(body) in the nervous system. It will take time but it is possible. Mine is almost gone. Have you tried dry needling, Ilan Lev Method, chiropractic therapy or some other type of somatic practice or therapy? And combine it with your breath (become aware/mindful) of your breath (and body) because that helps regulate the nervous system and helps the healing process. Neil Harrigan or Heriman (I forget his name) has some excellent videos, I think one is called the jaw pelvis connection.

Aren't all of these nutritional supplements seeing so much attention now because of the rise in popularity of KZfaq and digitized media coupled with more people that are looking for easy access to information instead of just reading a book like we did from the 1900s through the 1990s?

Yes, of course it is the reason. KZfaq let you access the information much faster than reading a book.
