This golf swing lesson will show you how to play your best golf right now - I believe that it is the best golf swing lesson you will ever have (and need) for the rest of your life. For too long, golfers have struggled to break 100 and 90. Even with all of the advanced technology of today, golfers are still struggling because of ONE MAIN THING - poor golf swing information. This video will show you a proven way to play better golf - it might be different, but LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO PLAY BAD GOLF. This video will improve your golf ball striking if you do the golf tips I recommend here.

I am Tom Saguto, PGA Member and founder of SagutoGolf. Thank you for visiting my instructional page where you can find how to get on the fast track to improving your golfing abilities. Whether you are a seasoned golfing veteran looking for a quick swing tune-up after an on-course emergency, or a beginner just looking to get the most out of your golfing experience, I am here to help you achieve your golfing goals.
My mission as your swing doctor is simple, to help you maximize your enjoyment in game of golf. Because, let’s face it, golf is a hard game.
My philosophy is wholly based on the student having a fun, meaningful experience in a frustrating and complicated game where potential lifelong golfers either quit because it is too difficult or that they experience some form of swing-related pain or discomfort. I mitigate these problems by focusing entirely on the student’s needs and goals while teaching a golf swing method that ultimately takes stress off of the common pain areas of the swing.

Hey Tom, love your lessons. I'm a 4-5 handicap. Can't seem to get lower. Of course I don't practice ever. Just show up at the course and swing a couple clubs on the teebox🤣🤣Just wanted to tell you I went to using base ball gloves. One lasts all year. I went through golf gloves monthly.

Hi Tom, I finally had your method click-in and it fixed my slice. I'm a former baseball player and I've struggled with a slice for years. I started out hitting straight but I slowly began to slice as I attempted to create more torque in my swing. For the past 3-4 years I've really struggled to fix the slice. I read Ben Hogans 5 Lessons and went back on some of your videos. Syncing my hands with my hips finally did it. I was clearing my hips way before my hands and not getting squared back up. Thanks for your help.

This guy is brilliant. 👍 I signed up to Tom’s golf school at the turn of the year, had an online lesson and haven’t looked back since then. We’re just back on the golf courses here in the UK following COVID lockdown. I’m hitting my irons with crispness and booming my drives straight and 50 yards farther down the fairway. This stuff really works so STOP lifting and shifting and start hitting crispy golf shots, time and time again. I’ve started to love golf even more. Well done Tom. Cheers Bernhard. 🏌️⛳️

At first I thought this might be a comedy clip. But I'm halfway through it and jeez... This is really actually fascinating. I used to be a great at the driving range--like pro level. Could never putt worth a damn though. Haven't swung a club in probably 25 years, but seriously now I'm really interested to try it again. Try my old way, and try this new way. Thank you for putting out this video. I promise I will come back to this and update this comment with how it goes. You are a fun and engaging instructor, Tom. I got started with elder golf pro instructors when I worked as a greenskeeper when I was a teenager. Ultimately got fired from that job for getting too crazy with the golf cart. (It was a hilly course and I'd drive that thing to the top, put it in neutral, and coast it down to bottom reaching prob 40mph and launch it off the t-off pad for the first hole. I caught so much air one time I locked the brakes on landing yet still damn near crashed through the side wall of the pro shop!)

Tom is the real deal. You may feel you are equipped enough with all his free You tube videos, but you will be doing yourself a great "disservice" if you don't enroll in his online instruction. Its the most comprehensive course on the net, Not to mention the best suited for us amateur golfers. We will never swing like the pro's so stop trying! This works! Just a personal tip. I found my self initially not "totally committing" to his instruction because it felt "weird or uncomfortable" at times. I was sometimes half-assing it. Just do it EXACTLY as he explains and teaches it and your game will definitely improve. I hit shots the other day while playing and I literally found myself just staring at the shot and smiling because it was so crisp!

I would dial that back just a tad and suggest allowing the trail leg to extend - not lock at the knee joint - while the lead knee flexes downward in the position established at address (i.e.: slightly flared outward and not kicking inward) in order to absorb the increasing lead side weight load during the backswing. I would not suggest actually "locking" the trail leg, although letting it straighten may certainly feel that way initially for those of you were previously accustomed to leaving it flexed. Remember, this is a body-friendly swing, and the term "locking" may conjure up alternative thoughts and experiences in this regard. There's much more detail about this for just $10 US/month of $99/year in the online school if y'all are interested. Anyway, yes - this move is paramount to eliminating the sway, keeping you centered, and providing a consistent low point for crispy compressed contact!! Cheers! Tom

Craziest but best golf instruction video ever. Instant and permanent results. Watched the video 5 days ago, walked straight out the door and to the village practice range. 24 balls- first 6 shots were crap, next 18 shots were consistently great, no tops, no thicks, all straight, then had to go up a club, and then had to back-off another 20 metres from the flag. Prior to this was normally 6 good shots mixed in with 18 crap shots. Next morning, same. Next afternoon, same. Next day, same. Today, 24 out of 24, all par worthy. 5 years and many coaching dollars of doing it wrong, one 15 minute video and bingo I can suddenly play golf. On the course for the first time yesterday, 88 first up, best score in 5 years, was always 100-105. Tom, you are a legend.

Now this is not to say that I won't make available more advanced "graduate level" courses in my online school content for those who wish to explore the depths of the swing, but I will not deviate from my mission of teaching a consistent, powerful, low-maintenance golf swing in a simplified and body-friendly manner! (But just remember - my emphasis is on "simple", not "easy" - because golf is anything but the latter!) Thanks again for your support! Tom

LOL! The golf swing is indeed overly complicated in particular by one part of the human body, Whitney - the brain and all the conflicting and misguided instruction it has been fed. Garbage in, garbage out; and countless golf swings have sadly been trashed as a result. 😎 This is why the sequential step-by-step, position-by-position platform is so effective and makes for a far more efficient, superior, and enjoyable learning process rather than haphazardly trying to piece things together through these channel videos that jump around randomly from topic to topic. The lessons and drills provide the guidelines and set the boundaries, while allowing ample leeway for each individual golfer to infuse and exercise their own uniqueness. Thanks again for your kind words and support, and keep up the great work. It WILL pay dividends! Tom

Hi Tom I went to the golf course for the first time since early October. I live in Europe, I hit the ball well right off the bat by eliminating the sway with 80% weight forward and keeping firm right leg. Also pointing left knee at ball and left shoulder. Maintaining a basically neutral grip and not even thinking about anything other than keeping my left arm straight. The wrists take care of themselves. I'll take it to the golf course in May. Thanks! BTW I'm 67 and just started playing again after 10 years of LBP.

Tom Saguto is part Michael Breed, part Billy Graham, part Tony Robbins and mostly right when it comes to hitting crispy KFC golf shots. Probably the most interesting Stack and Tilt instructor on KZfaq. There are elements of this swing in every swing on the PGA Tour, some more obvious than others. I don’t think I heard anything in this video about driving the left hip to shallow the plane but that’s another move that works well in a left sided swing. Stack and Tilt is more of a marketing concept than anything unique, watch golf this Sunday on TV and you’ll see a lot of these basic elements. It’s most obvious in the wedge and short iron play, that abbreviated finish Tom talks about. Definitely good advice, worth a listen. Try to swing the club like Adam Scott and your clubs will end up in the lake, you can’t do it unless you’re incredibly gifted. Simple is better under pressure, whatever you can do to make the game easier can only help you play better.

Thanks for your great comment and very kind words, Robert! You are correct - when we consider how many PGA Tour major championship winners TILTED, TURNED, and EXTENDED in the golf swing, the answer is all of them! Stack and Tilt is a model of the golf swing based on data from the best golf ball strikers. For this reason, someone can be embracing key Stack and Tilt elements without being aware of it. This is because there are basic requirements that must be met to hit a golf ball consistently on the center of the clubface. There are also components necessary to add power to the golf swing without sacrificing accuracy. Stack and Tilt determined, based on a study of the best golfers of all time, that they all had 3 things in common (the 3 main golf fundamentals): 1. Hit the ground in the same spot every time (consistent crispy contact) 2. Have enough power to play the golf course well (POWER) 3. Be able to have a predictable curve (accuracy). A player MUST be able to do those 3 things to be good at golf. Stack and Tilt is a system for accomplishing these fundamentals incredibly well! As far as tour players using 100% of it, 99% of it, 97% of it, or 78% of it, it doesn't really matter because they're ALL doing it to some extent. Those 3 fundamentals never change! Cheers! Tom

Thanks Teddy! As I just remarked to a member of my online school who was amazed at the autopilot nature of this swing once the motions are ingrained: "This is how the body is designed to swing the club if we can just allow it to do so; unfortunately, the longest distance in golf - those six inches between our ears - always seems to think it knows better." We just need to let the physics, geometry, and human physiology work their magic. In other words, "give up control to gain control!" Keep it golden crispy, my friend!! Tom

Here are two other lesson videos that pair nicely with this, specifically with regard to the often mis-taught flipping/rolling "release": - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fMtinrRlmcfeemg.html - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iduedrVm2rDDkaM.html Beyond this, have you considered enrolling in the SagutoGolf online school? So many folks across the globe are now enjoying the best golf of their lives as a result. For just $10 US/month or $99 US/year you'll have unlimited access to a comprehensive members-only system for the full swing, the short game, and much more. The school's intuitive course curriculum greatly simplifies the entire process through succinct, step-by-step videos, and I'm regularly adding new content. This will really put you on the fast track towards learning everything in a well-organized, self-guided fashion. There's even a members' forum where you can ask me specific swing-related questions, interact with others in the SagutoGolf community, and suggest new content ideas, plus you'll also have access to all exclusive "Crispier Than KFC Club" KZfaq channel members' content at no additional charge. Wow. Saguto, words can't describe how much I appreciate this video. The mental approach, the slot, the lock of the wrist!! Those two tips have never benefited my swing so much. I took this to the range yesterday, and I have never hit my irons so kentucky fried crispy! I even got my 3 iron in the air! I could hear it break the damn sound barrier. I cannot wait to golf now. Thank you so much man.

@@SagutoGolf appreciate it Tom! Nearly did it yesterday shot a 91!! Hahah the school is already helping lol! I usually hit way too hard at the ball which results in bad shots I was way looser this round and man the ball was being compressed kinda losing some distance with the relaxed swing but the ball is so much straighter!

Great work again - playing off 6 the amount of times I see poor players 'swaying not rotating' is amazing. Get the body moving properly and the swing will feel relatively 'easy', even on off days (which we will certainly all have). For the majority of 'hobby' golfers these principles are bob on and will almost certainly improve our enjoyment of the game.

OK, Im 61 and this guy changed my golf life!! Playing this game the same stupid way, very upright swing, if im on im on, if I take a few days off I have to learn how to play golf all over, topping the ball spraying the ball, I decided to take up softball after 20 years away from the game...guess what. from the first game I was a star.. hitting balls out of the park..WHY?? How can it be that I play golf all the time and I dont get any better. but yet, I never forgot how to hit a softball?? because of exactly of what Saguto is saying here, a single plane swing is so natural, anyway after 3 weeks of doing this his way I am killing it! I struggled to break 90 before. yesterday I shot a 41 on the front 9, 45 on the back 9 for a 86. I probably only have 3 games under 90 in my life, and im 61. IM not looking back..You should do the same! or keep knocking you balls out of bounds, try this before your 61.

I made these changes per this video and it worked (big time). Typically I shoot mid 40’s for 9. The first time out and making these changes I shot one over par for 9 holes. It was dramatic in ball contact and accuracy. Hope I can continue playing with this focus. Thanks Tom!
