ryzen 7 7800 x3d with radeon 7900 xt is what ive been running and its perfect for high refresh rates at 1440p and runs 4k pretty well. Great video btw!!

Built and loved a 5600/RX 6600 system, then upgraded to 5600X3D/6800 when my brother upgraded, and really loved that. Now, I'm on to a 7800X3D/7900 XT/1440p build and am incredibly satisfied with performance for gaming and some light AI Video Upscaling. All systems were between 0-2% bottleneck on the CPU GPU Bottleneck Calculator for graphics intensive tasks at respective resolutions. That has been the most useful way to pick parts without having to buy them or wait for someone to test your exact part choices. As always, very helpful guide sir.

Thanks. It's so nice to see some of you young guys talking about a balanced system. It was a major focus in the 90s and early 2000s, and then we slowly drifted away from it. Newer, more powerful components can slow your system down drastically. Most don't realize just how much time your system is spending doing nothing because it's waiting in data that got parked in a backup. Think of it as water running threw a pipe. To get the maximum amount of water, the flow needs to be smooth.

I already have this combo, but, with a 5500. Gonna be honest, at 1080p this combo is veeeery nice! Just upgrade bcz at 1440p is a little bit more heavy.

-Ryzen 5600 -B550 -2x8gb 3200mhz DDR4 or 2x 16gb 3200mhz DDR4 if you require more Ram -6700, 6700XT, 6800 -Ryzen 7600 -B650 -2x16gb CL30 or CL32 6000mhz DDR5 -6800, or 7800XT/7900XT if you want to splurge Those are the only combos that would make sense to the majority of gamers but if you want the best: -Ryzen 7800x3D -B650 or X670 board -2x 32gb CL30 6000mhz DDR5 or 2x 16gb CL30 6000mhz DDR5 -RTX4090 If you notice none of the lower end build have Nvidia GPU's its for obvious reasons, its not because I'm an AMD fanboy since I own a 3090 and 3070 its because the 4000 series offers little to no value.

im glad i found this video because my new pc is going to be top of the line and i was going back and forth on what cpu i could pare with a 4090 for the application i want to use it with. from what you said my best option is the i9 14900k because not only will i be gaming but i want to get into video editing/photo editing with other basic task like social media and youtube running in the background with a little stock market. basically a gaming/work station that i will be proud of for years to come.

I recently upgraded my 5600x to a 5800x3d. Got a good combo deal with an extra B550 board and 32gb of ram.Had extra parts so built my son a complete pc with the 5600x hand me down. 5800x3d paired with a RX 6800 non xt= fantastic 1440p gaming, no problems whatsoever😊. Great combo

good video! i would also need some advice, i am currently not sure if i should buy the 4070Super or the 4070TI for 70€ more or the RT7900XT for 80€ more than the Super. I am only playing on 2k (WQHD) resolution with around 120 FPS. Would the 70 bucks more be worth it and would the 7900XT or the 4070TI be a better option?

What games do you play that made you choose the 7800x3d specifically with the rtx 4070? Because you could have paired a 7700x with a 4070 Ti (maybe even Ti Super) and see a significant performance difference with a very similar budget.

Since I'm not the overclocking type & also choose hardware for their thermal efficiency & lower noise levels under load I paired a Ryzen 9 7900 12C/24T CPU (w/DeepCool AK620 Digital Cooler) & an ASUS TUF version (best of the bunch) AMD 7800 XT GPU for my recent 1440p build. Great combo for 1440p gaming.

Please do a follow up video on the Corsair magnetic fans, I found the Thermaltake ones that are essentially the same for $80 on Amazon and would love to see you compare Corsair vs thermaltake vs Lian li, especially since the magnetic fans are like a huge game changer to building PCs (even more so for beginners like me). My biggest issue is I don’t wanna deal with all the cords, but I’m kinda sad if I choose to get the thermaltake fans, they won’t really match the Kraken 280 AIO fans. Hard to tell how they’d look together.

A little confused.... at 8:10 you start talking about high end 1440P and you show a bar graph of FPS..... but in the top left corner these GPUs ar paired with a Intel core i9 14900K yet you recommend intel i5 & ryzen 5. Asus tuf-rx7800xt-o16g-og-gaming (2.9 slot design, 1.2cm less width, middle fan 13 blades, 4 SMD can capacitors on ALL PCB, smaller vent hole, radiator with more heat pipes) VS Asus tuf-rx7800xt-o16g-gaming (2.96 slot, middle fan 11 blades, 25 SMD can capacitors total)? In a no overclock and undervolt at 1440p 120fps cap in everything most likely forever scenario, which one is better and why...and more importantly, which seems less likely to have coil whine (and less noise in general)? Do the black rectangle capacitors have more chance to cause coil whine (even if they are better)?

I have an 11900k and 4080, upgraded from my 3070 last october. It runs great and only bottlenecks when i use dlss in certain games, otherwise its been excellent so far. Waiting for intel 15th gen platform then in another few years i can get 16/17th gen cpu on the same motherboard.

Hey, I just built a Ryzen 7950x3d with a rtx4080 super and I can't seem to push the CPU even when bench testing the temp won't go over 65c and it's always idles at 55c when playing games. I just can't seem to push the chip and feel I'm not getting the most out of it.

I have i5 9600kf with a 3060ti and i want to upgrade, should i go for 7 7800x3d? to pair with my gpu, maybe in a year i upgrage the gpu

I've got a i9-9900KF like an idiot and a gtx 1660 smh after watching your last video I see the mistake...what gpu upgrade should I go for imy monitor is only 1080p as well? example I got dragons dogma 2 and it was horrendous my PC was automatically set to all LOW settings and still everything looked pixelated lmao. ( i was told CPU is what i needed so i got the best i could afford at the time, but neglected the GPU)

Do i need better CPU than my 12600k for 4k with 4080? I think that 4k is GPU bound and i will not see difference between 12600k and 14700k. What do you think?

hi so i want a motherboard that is going to be capable of using the 4090rtx but i need to upgrade. but right now i using intel but not sure if i should stay with intel or amd. also not sure if i want to stream yet. i have a intel i5-9400 @290ghz and nvidia geforce gtx 1060 6gb. i got it from a friend to use for my first gaming but its only doing 60fps i believe. i play cod. so if you could give me a build with a $2000-$2500 budget thats going to be upgradeble to a 4090. im using a 4k tv also for monitor cause yeah ill get a monitor later or if you suggest to get one now. thnks alot.

Just got my first gaming pc 5 5600x and a rx 6600 and its working nice for me but its intresting to see the higher end side of things, now im very aware of lowering the settings in my MP games to get better performance 😂

Can GPU coolers get any bigger? its getting stupid now. I remember when you could use your pci slots in your motherboard
