Funny thing is a plain white texture was used (anything that isn't a solid color will leave a pattern in the snow).

Good question, our in-game brightness is set to 100% because that has been what makes sense to our workflow, but you can set the in-game brightness to your liking and get the same effect!

@@ShapelessMedia I usually keep brightness on max just so I can see in dungeons and stuff. The mod looks great but I prolly will hold out on getting it for now unless a darker version is released. Thanks for the reply

@@philliplopez3643 I would say no need to wait. We're also using IA92's enhanced graphics which really cranks that brightness and reflection up to another level. Without that, it will still be the nice white color but without the added "glare" like effect that makes it super super bright and vivid in the video.

We don’t have that mod so I don’t think it’s that.

It's either that or another TLS mod, it unflags the "render world LoD" part of the "Riftenworld" worldspace header so it pretends to be an island usually with "pleasant" flagged weather playing. It's a less than 0.1% overall improvement in graphics with a 75% loss in realism and overall quality of the footage that you're shooting :P.

Rustic is not compatible with Surreal, you need to build a special version to combine the regional playlists and renumber the weather formIDs or else they will just overwrite each other.

@@beveryofa2546 Sad... Rustic is my favourite weather mod, I can't imagine play without it. I've tried, but i don't like vanilla lights.

@@woffydoggy686 Neither Rustic nor Surreal change the color of the lights, just the weather and cloud colors and maybe a couple types of torch which is pretty standard, Rustic will be compatible with any of the popular interior lighting options but it won't "inherit" the increased saturation values from Surreal because they aren't even using the same imagespaces, Surreal changes all the vanilla imagespaces to make them more colorful and then uses those in it's weathers, Rustic creates completely new imagespaces and uses them in it's weathers instead. So you could load them toegether and get a more colorful overall world through just imagespace changes but you won't see any of the Surreal specific weathers playing while Rustic is overwriting. If that makes sense, I didn't water down that answer so just let me know.

It might have something to do with the weather/lighting mod you have. Real snow is quite reflective and can bounce a lot of light, but if it is bothering you try changing weather/lighting mod or not using whiter snow!

I love the 90 as well. I personally don't use the 60 fps because it's kinda jarring to go from smooth interiors to choppiness on the exteriors. I also gotten used to the 30 fps & I'd rather have stable fps than have it fluctuate. It's still awesome to know that this was even possible to accomplish!

The roads looked “odd” probably because we have Julihahs Dirt Replacer on, which changes the roads. As for the tree mod, no we didn’t have any glaring issues!

@@ShapelessMedia I'll be able to make a patch for those two once I have a copy of the snow mod, then I can apply that snow texture to all objects that need it and save Aurll some 80+ hours of work.

Definitely works with obsidian and other weather mods. Im pretty sure it also works with ELE interior but im not positive.

Which PS4 ?...the slim?

We are also using a base model ps4 from 2013/2014ish so your ps4 should be fine. Check out our community tab on our channel to see all the graphics mods (not counting city enhancements) we are using, and in what order we placed them. I will try and post our full mod order soon, but the ones we posted on our community tab are how you make the game look like this video.

We have on: Julihah's dirt replacer, Julihah's Old Town Riften, A Rebellious Riverwood Overhaul, and Green Whiterun - all of which affect the textures beyond what was shown in the video, though most are locationally specific!

Our lighting and weather mod in this video is Epic Enhanced Console Graphics V5

Definitely 'Improved Shadows and Volumetric Lighting' and '60 FPS', there are many FOV options with 60 FPS so choose any FOV you like best! For lighting mods there are a lot of good ones, but I chose 'IA92's Enhanced Console Graphics v5' because the saturation and contrast really paired well with the 'Improved Shadows and Volumetric Lighting' mod!

Yeah we have the Riften one on in this episode and we have shown off MANY in past episodes

how I got it to work is: 1. download mod 2. Return to skyrim home screen 3. Shut skyrim off 4. Start the game, and once you get into the game immediately click circle

I tried surreal lighting, obsidian weathers, and IA92s epic enhanced console graphics v5 - and that’s the one I ended up going with. To me it looked the most beautiful and looked almost cinematic!

@@ShapelessMedia I believe it's the increased saturation from IA92s Epic Enhanced Console Graphics V5 that's causing the reflected light in the snow.

@@aurllcooljay were you aware of this beforehand or just a happy accident?

@@Tyler-oz3zy Snow reflections are a specific part of the imagespace, there are only a few things that cause the reflections to get worse, ie increased contrast, min luminance value, bloom intensity, etc.

Maybe Todd scratched it so you have to give him more money...

Agreed! PS4 mod creators work double time to give players the best experience possible on the given console. They are willing to go out of their way to provide lighting and textures and feeling to the game that takes way more effort than on xbox or PC!

Especially because the constraints that Sony has on modding and what we can include into a mod is so limited in a lot of ways, I feel the modders now more thsn ever have found a way to be more creative within the confines of the tight limitations. And yes our consoles may get loud and cooling pads be used as we push it to the ultimate limit for risk of real flames to the realistic ones we so desire in our games, but that is why we do it. We want to make it better. And modding allows us to experience it uniquely to our own style. And for the most part the modding community are usually some of the nicest people I've interacted with online.

@@WobiKabobi Xbox does have a cap and I think it's also 100 but the download storage is more like 10 gigs and the mods are better on Xbox.

You just need to prioritize I had the same problem but then realized I had like 30 mage mods and current play through wasn’t a mage so I got loads of better mods.

@@jakewiththecake2915 Lol.. Bro, I have a full on Spreadsheet managing my mods, all segmented by types and categories. Trust me - it's not a management issue, it's having so many to choose from. I have 2 magic mods, then 4 more that add specific spells (mage grip, blink teleportation). I have a handful of graphics mods (rustic weathers, dense grass etc) and then a dozen game mechanic mods (haste, realm of lorkhan, race menu anytime). I then have a few useful mods like MFS, better dressed NPCs, relocate NPC, Tailors measure... The majority of mods I have are like City & town, lanterns, all mods for little settlements expansions like darkwater & Kynesgrove. Then loads of added things, like granite hill, summerset Isles Erethfell, caves of Morrowind, frostygrape winery, priory of mara. There are literally over 100 of the location mods I could use - things that are houses or add extra depth, like Hlaalu descendants near Riverwood and things like that.

It actually does get 60 not as consistent as ps4 but trust me it is 60 especially in caves and dungeons
