Alright, I'm on the fence about buying one since I just got my new Splatoon 3 OLED, and Skull n Co have made a neogrip for that model. However, I've heard that the grip can cause scratches on joycons, as well as some other potential damages. Obviously, I don't want this special edition switch to get damaged, so I just want some feedback on if these statements are true.

They usually say it because it wasn't intentionally made to be dockable, but i haven't had problems with it for the time i had it, so I'd say it's safe

THIS NEO GRIP IS %100 DOCKABLE on the OLED. Really important for ppl to know as it can be a deciding factor in purchasing this or not. Aside from that, great video. Good quality. Thanks for posting

Right. Looks like he tried to dock it on the V1/V2 dock which would explain why he couldnt dock it. But with the OLED dock it works.

Dockable, yes, but your experience may very. In my case, I can dock my OLED Switch into it's dock with the grip on but it causes the frontplate to visibly bend forward slightly. It also isn't smooth like it is without the grip; I have to gently push it down because there's resistance on the right side that won't let it glide in easily. I don't think it's an issue with the grip itself, more like an issue with my dock.

OLED in that case is 100% dockable - maybe with V1/V2 model is not

Can you remove the joycons and still use the switch in table top mode with case on?

Not really. The case needs the full Switch to fit snugly into the case. If you remove the joy cons the case will just fall off

@@Portly OK thanks for letting me know. I was not sure if the little top locking clip that goes onto the display kept it in place and you could removed joycons and still utilize table top mode.

I got it and you can table too mode with the grip on as long as the clip is attatched. The tablet moves slightly side to side but you can play with the joy-con detached.

Satisfye Grip is more comfortable for me. Their carrying case is a thousand times better than SkullnCo's. I can compare because I have both for my OLED. Before you tell me that Satisfye hasn't released an OLED version for their grip there is a hack to use your old V2 Grip on your OLED Switch.
