As crazy as it sounds, headbutts are both useful for powerful finishers/surprise mix-ups. Since you're the one doing it, your body can prepare itself and make it hurt a lot less. But it also works because the person getting clipped is usually never expecting it and that shock not only causes it hurt more but also that brain jiggle goes crazy.

Thank goodness the Raid is getting mentioned. The kind of havoc this movie, it’s sequel and Netflix’s The Night Comes For Us (as an added example of a similar film to the Raid duology) needs to be studied. Every action sequence goes beyond just brutal or kinetic and just veers straight into insanity. Nearly every character, protagonist or antagonist alike, is desperately scratching and clawing their way towards survival or getting stomped on like ants trying. When I think of the term “fighting for my life”, this movie comes to mind. 16:02, Hell, recently the Rama vs Assassin kitchen fight got a bit of a reference in Jujutsu Kaisen when Yuji and Choso square off against each other in the restroom fight. Also, as a bit of an admittedly unnecessary sidenote, 2012’s Dredd had almost the exact same kind of plot of a small group of futuristic cops raiding a tower filled with murderous goons, with brutal chaos ensuing that’s also not half bad.

The wide shots are just great, they show the actors and the fight, and continuously for nearly minutes. I guess Chad took notes from these 2 movie and applied some of it in the JW movies. Compared to other action movies, where the fight gets cut like every second (Taken and RE to name a few).

I don't know how many have already recommended this, but The Night Comes For Us is your next move after The Raid 2. The guy who plays Jaka in The Raid is the protagonist, and the guy who plays Rama is the secondary main villain. The fight is fucking incredible. Best shit I've ever seen.

The final fight choreography makes sense because even though they're brothers, one is a trained special ops type of dude so of course he's the better fighter of the two, the other guy gets hit more and is more of a liability in the fight. Most times there's a 2 v 1 fight a movie just has everyone on the same skill level and moveset which is unrealistic.
