In Poland we just tuck pants into boots- it doesn't limit blood circulation, and support your ankle much better, what is more pants don't fall off because we use straps which go under the feet and secure pants - it works a lot better to be honest, and looks just as good as blousing

I go the dollar store and buy the female hair ties and use those as blouse bands. They give your about eight ties so if you lose a set you have additional. If they break you didn’t come out of pocket to much. Also you can use them secure lose wire and things on your gear as well.

When I was in the 82nd a lifetime ago, blousing bands were prohibited. We considered them REMF. I understand Marines use them though. I never liked the bands anyway.

I'm out now, so I no longer wear pants that have strings on em (wish all pants did) bc that's the fastest way once you get used to it. Faster than the little px goodies lol...BUT THIS IS GREAT! Huh, amazingly not sure how this was recommended to me, but as a SSG, I thought I was the only one who did this. The only step for maximum is efficiency you’re missing is tying a knot in the end of your laces. Then just do a simple bow, the knots stop it from you pulling out the single ends, and instead of wrapping them around your leg, you can shove those up in there too. I like this way being in the field a lot. Keeps you from chaffing from your socks or blouse while maintaining a tight seal to stop bugs and what not.

Not bad if you walk around or sit in office but if you have to run literally these the pants will fall out and then you wont look squared away

Handy for when you lose your twisters and dont have elastic bands on standby 👍

Not great for combat tho .best to have the pant tucked in the boot .it stops debris eg sand small stones mud ect from getting in your boot and you don't wreck you socks

Not sure what your MOS is but there is a reason for blousing your boots. This is something I might have done running to formation as an E3 after drinking all night. Boot blousing bands always have been and always will be the proper way to blouse your boots. Low blouse in the field and high blouse in garrison... and you can use them for attaching trash to your pack as well when needed.

Soldier! I’ll just stick to pull on high top boots it makes it easier to tuck in everything including the full thermal set or suit of clothes underneath like underwear and pants such as jeans or slacks and cargos.

I’m going to agree, does not look high speed to me nor does it hold up as well. I joined in the starch and boot shine era all the way through ACU’s. Keep the discipline of the BDU era otherwise it’s all high drag to me.

If you have pants that can be tied or velcroed around your boot then why do you still have to blouse high? If the point of blousing is to keep your pants sealed from the bottom. Is that the point?

I just use boot bands and then only tuck the hem of the pant leg under the strap keeps my socks from ever showing and maintains a lroper bloused appearence, drives me nuts when you can see several inches of sock or bare leg because someone doesn't blouse their shit right.

I have a question if you chose to can you wear blousing straps or in the army you can't at all?

If that’s what passes as high speed now days, I feel for you troop. The first contact you have with veg that shits coming on done and you got a hot mess. Tuck that in your boot, lock it off with the laces, then tuck your laces in your boot so you don’t have to worry about them. That’s high speed, not because it’s cool or fast but because it might save your life.

Not to be ignorant, but why not just tuck them into the sock or the boot? When hunting we do that all the time, keeps out ticks just as well and also is the traditional way. Are there any advantages of blousing than looking code?
