This is a short instructional video on how to make a simple pair of hobbles for your horse. I have used a wide variety of commercially available hobbles in my time, but find they all rub sores on the pasterns of my horses. Several years ago, my dad showed me how to make my own. I've been using my own hobbles ever since.
Recently, on a facebook page I frequent, somebody asked about hobbles and I mentioned that I make my own. Several people asked about them, so here's how it's done. Simple, effective, and never leave a mark on the horse.
