A very nice focus to do early on (as canon Enclave aka purist) is to do the options to get + 3 power armor divisions from fighting out Navarro and later on picking the option to get an army leader and 4 divisions, it's to get kaley wolf (or however you spell her name). Then fix up Sierra's automated air defenses and by then you'll end up having the upgraded templates of Power Armor troops from fighting out of Navarro and The Last American Army template from Wolf to replace Auxiliaries and then robot divisions. This is so you don't have to spend tons of army experience expanding your armies but instead supplying them better like with demo squads and fire teams so they start off large and well supported. As soon as you get Wolf, and at that point should have 5 LAA divisions and 4 PAT divisions with the 5 LAADs on Reno's north west flank with the PA divisions set to fight the long way around the top of Reno, take New Reno. Usually the LAAs won't engage in a fight with NR and the PA troops clean up everything. Make sure to set your general to make the plan be aggressive. After you take New Reno you can do the national focus "The Ultimatum" and get core (after 40 days because you'll have 200% or more estimated army size compared to Vault City if you're quick enough) on Vault City meaning you can skip making them honorary humans and cleanse the city of mutants while still retaining the early core state to keep that stability and war support to then do the focusses to annex the raider factions and local areas early on. Make sure to also be training new troops incase you need it. ((Edit: You should have 5 People Divs and 7 PA Divs to take New reno intotal and the +2 RB Divs to get the ult focus)) TLSS; Pick +more PA divisons & +more not PA divisions. Take New Reno rebuild automated systems, Ultimatum, Core Vault city Making it the ultimate Purist strategy for speed running a genocide to create and an ethnostate. I also can't state how insane the early on extra PA divisions are. They're like a total of 700+ man power and 700+ PA suits you get for 250 manpower that you can get from another decision I think right before it making literally free. And you can very quickly take the 3 raider lands + two settlements alongside vault city. And if you're crazy enough and also full send focusses for extra research slots, justify war against the people holding Area 51 and get another research slot and go into higher marks of power armor. And yes, this describes a good path on how to START OUT in this mod. It's absolutely golden. The mod is golden I mean, my schizo rant is to be desired.

I usually go the reformist path, love the cores you can get on all of America with its power grid building. But the Purist path can be REALLY fun as well

This is the best mod for HOI4, hands down. Even though this sub mod makes you OP, and conquest trivial, it is still a lot of fun. However, the real butter for this bread of a sub mod is for the reformation party. It’s gameplay and features, and even text flavor, is unrivaled. Especially if you choose to embrace mutants, the S’Lanter raccoon people was a really, really cool flavor addition, albeit, pretty useless bonuses by the point in the run you get them. I built up after NCR, instead of rushing down other factions. Where I stopped was halfway through a war against the entire map. I hadn’t made many new divisions, so I was spread thin, though my manpower was absolutely way more than it should have been, some 700k. Still, it was a lot of fun, and challenging. Mexican robots get buffed, legion gets buffed, so it was not a complete walk in the park, even being OP. Anyways, glad you had fun with the mod, you should definitely revisit it on your own time if anything, and play as reformation party. Ability to set up Canada and Mexico and help them reestablish their countries. I cannot wait for the full scope of their ambition to be realized with the entirety of North America and the Caribbean having playable factions. It will be a few more years until then, but it will still be fun, even if I’m 31-32 when it’s done.

Would love if you did a part 2 where you go down the reformist path. It was quite fun when I played it.

i like how now that there was that fallout steam sale everyone (including myself) is now in a brief fallout phase.. i just beat both the original 2 RPGs and currently in a new vegas run

One of the best tactics for purity enclave is to use power armour paradropping all vps to cap your enemies, don't bother attacking supply hubs, go straight for big cities and airfields, 1-2 speed micro for some sweaty meta play means you can take a good chunk of territory and cap the NCR before they even fight the roman wannabes. Otherwise any dragged out war is usually just horrendous since they have a near unlimited manpower pool, I'd recommend paradropping for encirclements only and make sure your infantry is close behind, and always do the focuses for vertibirds and guns, red air means sad enclave

Ah i remember when i first tried this mod how suprised i was at the amount of enemy armor and air, trully a "how did they get so strong?" moment, for anyone that needs a some tips for this. Getting support anti-air is a must, also the focus tree part that deals with the Intel Agency has a few teams that come in really handy to disrupt the NCR tanks and air plus SIGMA teams are probably the strongest units you can get (even if they are time limited), trying to get encirclements around the narrow passages that lead to shady sands is also a good way to reduce the amount of tanks the NCR has

Yeah rivers are annoying in OWB. The ai will do river invasions deep into your territory. Best to set CAS on the rivers to halt any invasions.
