Another look at the latest from Saber Tactical. This valve conquers all, its beautiful, works EXTREMELY well, and will increase your odds with the ladies... Ok maybe not that last part, but it is wicked cool. I want one of these for ALL my bottles, they are that good. Some may say "It's just a valve" that only means they haven't experienced one. OK Bill I’m sold! You didn’t mention it but you don’t want to just slam your air reservoir (tank) on your competition guns either. Particularly during say a field target competition because the resulting temperature rise will often cause a point of impact shift until the air/tank cool back to ambient.

Lol! I've only shot matches with my FX Crown Mk2 and I get 130 shots per fill. Even with practise I've yet to fill during a match! Good point though Art! Thank you for your wisdom!

i bought one of these and it has a leak, i contacted saber tactical with no response so far? just tried to contact them a gain today. the valve is nice with the big gauge knob and handle. hoping to get one that doesn't leak.

I am curious, do you know where the leak is from? Is it the valve itself or the o-ring seal to the bottle? The DonnyFL/SaberTactical crew is just returning from a show in the UK. They are good people and will make this right.

@@TargetForge its leaking from the burst disc and the foster fitting. they are sending me a new fitting and burst disc. i removed the foster fitting and noticed the air hole on the block is not centered its right on the edge of the threads which seems weird. when you tighten downbthe foster fitting the edge of the fitting would cover the hole. if it was centered a delrin seal would work. right now waiting on parts, hope it works

Do have any info on the total weight of the valve body with the pressure gauge and the thread type and pitch?

@@TargetForge got it. It does look lightweight from the size alone probably similar to the oem scott air pak or msa made valves.

From what I can see they went to great lengths to minimize unnecessary material in the design. Using it is so much better than the stock valves, I'd still have one if it weighed 5 lbs, which I'm sure it does not. Stock valves are not designed for controlling flow rate and are not very good at it. I envision the firefighter either needs it Open or Closed and the regulator meters the airflow. Plus, that carry handle is really nice too.

@@TargetForge I am guessing that ShartedKegs was asking the question that is on my mind as I am getting involved with PCP airguns. Probably everyone has this question, that nobody seems to answer. How do I get my air tank filled at a dive shop? I hear answers that the dive shops have adapters to fit. Or, some dive shops ask the tank owner to supply adapters. OK, so the Saber Tactical valve has a Foster male fitting air outlet. What connectors do dive shops have to fill through this? Or what adapters must a tank owner have to fit what dive shops (minimally) have to fill tanks?

@@duaneinlow8868 If you wish to go down the path of seeking support from a local dive shop, I would recommend you talk to them. I will also caution that PLANNING on using a dive shop to get fills can be iffy at best. I had a local shop that agreed to fill my bottle, I spent a LOT of money on a bottle, they filled it a few times then decided they didn't like supporting the airgun community and stopped. My advice? Get a GX CS4, use my links to purchase, and get my upgrades. Does it support me? Yes, understand that I have been down this road, learn from my experience. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q-B5paZ4sdvHZWg.html

@@TargetForge I am with Bill on this. Its 2024 and the pcp market has grown big as well as affordable pcp pumps introduced into the market. Even the hand pumps. Its no longer that airgnnrs have to drop $10-20k on a hpa compressor. Buying a small shoebox pump today is better than depending on a dive shop to provide air

what would happen if you hooked an air impact gun up to one of these 3k psi bottles? have you ever thought about it? how many PSI can it go before it just explodes? i'm guessing they could take at least 500 psi. probably shear off every bolt in the known universe
