One thing about sindragosa : The more melee you have the less caster you have that can get unchained magic. Therefore you risk your healers constantly getting unchained magic which will make it very hard to heal the raid.

Prot pally & Blood DK can both solo tank Sindragosa using bubble/AMS to reset stacks. You also mentioned Warlocks making Valkyr redundant but it's worth noting that Hunters and Combat Rogues can also make Valkyr redundant. Hunters can disengage back on after being dropped and rogues can hold Killing Spree and follow the Valkyr back onto the platform on Heroic.

imo I'd swap the hunter for an unholy and the assassination rogue for a combat rogue since 4% physical is pretty big and combat doesn't lose as much dps as assassination when exposing

Our comp hasn't changed since P1 and is very similar to what you have, except we run an Rdruid instead of the Unholy DK and our priest is shadow (w/ flex to Disc when needed)

Another benefit of the shadow priest that is sometimes overlooked is that they are a rather tanky ranged dps option, particularly for Heroic Saurfang. They can mitigate a lot of the mark damage passively from Inner Fire and Shadowform, providing a better soak in addition to the bonus heals.

The comp I lead for my 10 man's I lead hit pretty much most of the things you're recommending. We run a Prot Warrior/Pali (depending on how he feels), and Blood DK for tanking, Disc Priest and Holy Paladin healers, our balance druid mains resto so he swaps when needed, and then we do Enhancemenr Shaman, Fury Warror, Demo lock, feral druid and me on Hunter (though I go MM for extra interrupt and the physical damage buff since my dps isn't that far behind me playing survival) Glad to hear we don't have to change a whole lot, and I'll say I really like having 2 druids since with soulstone and those 2, we get 3 battle rezzes in 10 man.

I would have a prot warrior OT for LK HM, can dispel own enrages without help, can Shockwave valks, and most importantly safeguard 30% dmg reduction EVERYTIME a 50k + hit from the LK is coming phase 3. Oh also commanding shout helps that as well

We one-tanked Marrowgar without any trouble on 10m H, he was hitting me for about 15k, as long as healers are ABC it was fine.

Combat rogue over the assa/unholy. The expose armor and 4% physical damage is still benefiting the rogue, Ret, hunter and both tanks. Between that and the tricks damage/utility I believe the combat comes out ahead.

From our testing on 10m normal, vile spirits hit like a truck, how do you deal with them without a shadowpriest in the group?

Our comp for 10 man is 1 prot pally, 1 blood dk, 1 ele shaman, 1 fire/arcane mage, 1 frost/unholy dk, 1 combat rogue, 1 surv hunter, 1 destro lock(rotate out for boomie druid when they can't make it, 1 holy pally and 1 holy priest, we also have another boomie who fills when we need it, but all of us have multiple toons we can rotate in and out to fit what we need when we need it

10/10 Will watch again!

based on my guilds current roster we have a really geared combat that we will be bringing, my fury warrior which is also really geared, probably an unholy or a ret paladin, demo lock, boomie, either mage or ele if our resto shaman isn't able to raid, a holy pally, resto shaman or disc priest, blood tank and prot pally. that comp would bring meele haste and 10% ap (blood), 5% crit and sunders (fury), 4% physical dmg and expose for the fights you have to change targets (combat), 12% magic dmg from unholy and unholy just pumps as well, spell crit from boomie, and spell power from demo lock. If our resto shaman cant raid we have an ele shaman and a disc priest that can fill so we would rearrange our comp around that. Hard to bring all the buffs to 10m so would appreciate some feedback on how we can improve the 10m comp.

Finally I feel proud to have mained ele shaman trough the whole expansion. We do rock! 🖖

Fury warrior, mage, feral druid, affli lock and unh dk are must to bring(at least 1 or 2 in one 10man) because these guys will carry guilds in 25man hc with that 10man loot

Is there any reasons to not go with 6 ranged dps for example in ICC? Other than wasting a bunch of gear meant for melees. like.. swapping out the melees for 2-3 spriests (im not biased) Edit: other than sindragosa that you just got to after I wrote this lol.

I would bring an arcane mage in 10m just for intellect buff and another ranged, ranged are good on pretty much every fight that has any movement (for the 3% dmg)

So this is actually pretty close to my groups 10m setup only we have a cat instead of a rogue, and our ret pally acts as double duty for the 2nd tank spot rather than a blood tank. (hunter is survival for the 10% ap buff) and an affliction lock/Spriest/mage/frost dk for the last spot. The 2 Battle rez's are amazing and on tough fights having 2 Soul Stones have been pretty clutch in 10m. Our only issue is really that we often only get the 16% windfurry and miss out on 5% spell haste. We have from time to time swapped in a frost dk>affliction lock, but sadly my group is mostly built around who decides to show up and still needs gear from 10m rather than min/maxing raid comps.

eleshaman is kinda here only for lust. I don't mind swap ele to enhance and have a prot/fury for the commanding and sander

Few things you missed for Hunters Boss 2 Lady Hunter uses Viper on her to drain mana and distract shot the deform Fanatics and kite and kill also Boss 4 Saurfang Slow trap for Blood Boils

I would probably just add that a DK, somewhere, is all but required whether that be dps or OT or flex, and that because of the huge amount of hit gear the shadow/boomie requirement is all but waived; all casters should at this point have a gear set that makes up for the lack of 3% hit. That should give mages, rogues, warriors, anyone left out in this guide free to take another dps spot. Warrior especially as a warrior/DK combo that flex in and out of OT/mdps is super strong.

hunters do not get unchained magic on sindragosa btw so your comp is actually well balanced for that one as well.

You forgot to mention, bring your own water and int scrolls because not once did you even say the word, Mage. Mages also have a ranged interrupt, lots of damage, mobility, CC, blink and ice block for adds and if you want the buff you can force them to play arcane and give the 3% damage buff :)

You get way more value with a warrior tank + 1 prot pally then 2 pallys, you get sunders, off specc dps and buffs.

4healing sindra makes it childplay on hc, removes any rng on unchained magic and tombs in last phase. Berserk timer is very lenient

So... this is why healbot is a necessary add on. The game itself doesn't show you 1. Debuffs on raidbars. 2. Context buttons for dispelling certain things. So in the base game healers need to either monitor each member by switching between them or have coms and callouts as a coordinated team... 3. What certain debuffs do, so you need to research all possible outcomes and train how to react to them, mostly through watching walkthroughs

I would very much prefer taking Arcane mage over Retribution paladin for 3% dmg aura as 2 paladings are just enough and the rest of mage toolkit will ad up better.

Id DEFINETILY swap disc priest for rshaman , mainly because who wants a eleshaman kek. We better have a spriest for more sustain and better damage on fights like sindy. Spriest can also soak spirits in lk which is huge.

I would say a mage for that last spot for food but you never click on the table anyways. Arc gives that 3% buff right? Though most mages at this point are going fire so maybe they aren't as good for utility.

Destruction is niche but brings alot of utility and quick damage that is great in 10m.

IMO you should replace survival hunter with warrior, sub the assas rogue for a combat rogue, and then bring in the ret. This way you get replenishment, 4% physical damage, 5% physical crit, melee haste, spell haste. you got everything. plus combat AND fury have great single target with ICC 2/4 sets, INSANE cleave for trash, and they both bring buffs. sunder armour + shattering throw + 4# physical... it all adds up So my final comp: Tanks: Prot Pal, Blood DK with double buff spec Healers: Hpally, Disc priest Ranged: Demo lock, Ele shaman, Balance Druid Melee: Ret paladin, Fury warrior, Combat Rogue EZ CLAP

The most glaring problem with this setup is the lack of overall dps. You stacked this comp to get the most buffs, however that also meant stacking a bunch of mid-tier dps (outside of the UH dk). Those extra buffs will generally not compensate the difference of losing the S-tier dps classes. If you're bringing an ele, I would swap the demo to an aff. Sure, you loose like 300-400 sp (on average), but that aff lock is going to be doing 1000s of more dps than the demo. I would also swap out the ret for a fire mage. It's well known that in 10 mans with longer than ~ 1.5 min kill times that fire does significantly more dps than arcane (including the 3% damage buff for the raid). Since ret is putting out about as much dps as arcane currently, and also isn't scaling much those first few week until they start getting tier and other stuff, it just doesn't make sense to bring them. Plus, by swapping to the aff lock and fire mage, you're also getting powerful execute damage, which is quite good for a lot of these bosses, as they simply take longer to kill and therefore "exist" longer in that execute window. I think you make those two changes, and you're much better off for week 1 heroic kills.

Honestly, the BiS comp isn't much different to how its been all expansion - Paladin tank, DK or Warrior OT/DPS, Holy Paladin, Disc Priest, Resto/Balance Druid, Shaman (preferably with Resto offspec, but not required), Mage, Warlock and maybe Hunter. The last spot can be for another DK or Warrior DPS or Rogue. Basically, one of everything and no stacking. Or, conversely, go for Spellcleave and then cry on Sindragosa.

Last (Retri) spot can be replaced by Fury/Combat/SP/Arcane/Fire. Or Blood DK for Prot War, Retri for Enhance or Frost DK and hunter spec MM.

Imagine including frost mage in the running but not blood dps, even though blood will be higher than unholy with icc gear.

Yay now we know you all have to reroll cos if you're not on the list you ain't going.

In 10mans so far the mechanics are very forgiving when compared to 25man. Unless things change drastically, as long as main mechanics are followed you can pretty much dps through. It is a shame composition balancing is a thing, as opposed to bringing what you enjoy to play!

I wouldn't throw Blood DK's (as dps) under the bus. From most of the DK discords they're going to be pulling ahead vs all other dk specs, especially when paired with a feral>rogue>fury for UHF. Cleave and single target goes nuts for melee between those combos.

Back when I raided in original Wrath as Ele, I used to have our top Warlock talk down to me about how the only reason I topped DPS in 10 man is because of raid buffs. Like bro... Can't you just give credit where credit is due? That's part of the reason I can't stand raiding anymore. The meter and buff dissonance. People just suck.

i think one important axis in a 10 man raid comp is loot competition. its nice to have a comp where people dont have to compete against each other on loot. and its also bad to have items drop that nobody can even use and just get disenchanted by not having a rouge, you dont have anyone that wants attack power leather. so it would be a big shame if alot of that drops and there is nobody to use it. rouges can also use alot of the weird weapons that drop in raids. like daggers and 1 handed axes or maces or fist weapons. it really sucks. ive seen so many lionhead slashers and twin spike weapons disenchanted because nobody cares about those kind of weapons and by having both melee dps be plate, that means they will be competing over all the plate gear that drops. if one of those was a rouge then its easy to give leather to the rouge and plate to the other guy. and the same could be done for tanks. having 2 plate tanks means both of them want the same gear. if one was a feral tank, it would be completely different tier tokens are also a consideration. your comp has 5 conq, 3 vanq, and 2 prot. so eventually you will get to a point where the protector tokens are wasted but alot of people still need conq tokens. its nice to have as even a split as possible on those

I love how you mention there's 2 people who can flex heal in the end comp but you also have a ret in there you don't even consider flexing to heal.
