does the magsafe chargers allow for apple carplay though? cause some cars need the cable plugged into the phone for carplay to work, but does that wireless connection still allow it since the wireless charger is still connected to the car via usb

Thanks for the great review! I have one question regarding connecting to Apple carplay (in my Peugeot e-208). I have an ESR halolock magsafe car charger, but it does not seem to connect to apple carplay (both through USB A and B). Are there other car mount chargers that do connect the phone to Apple carplay? I do not want to buy a dongle and I do not want to need to plug in a separate cable every time I want to connect to apple carplay.

4k views?! sheesh this video was so helpful.! I'm stuck with an iPhone 11 and I still dont have my system figured out. I want less wires, charging and magnetic base for my vents (vs any stickers). it doesnt seem to exist!

Will the moment magnet perform also as a "regular" magnet for a different phone?

Since it's not really anything "MagSafe" and just a magnetic disc, yes, if the phone itself is magnetic or you add a magnetic sticker to it. It shouldn't obviously even have been mentioned here, since it doesn't provide the ability to charge, which is at least 50% of what MagSafe is really about.

The Vent mounts are known to break vents. I've also had people report the mount breaking the radio when the vent mount breaks off and falls. I recommend Rennline and Coarse motorsports for a much better mount solution and a better looking design.

I never understood why the Belkin mount can swivel, the whole point of a magnetic mount is you can easily orient your phone any way you want. That was such an unnecessary thing to add, I'm so glad I didn't buy it.

Because even your phone positions don’t necessarily get your screen to be at the angle you want
