My first automotive love was Nissan. Where I grew up in Oahu, we had the FIRST sanctioned drift events in the US. Forest Wang lives about 20 min away and he installed my first SR20DET in my S13 fastback. I got a 380hp CA18DET from Ross Petty for my coupe. I obsessed about Option drift videos. Our track closed in 2005, Forest and Ross moved to the mainland and I stayed here and got a normal job. I’ll always wonder what would’ve happened if I moved away to drive too but man I miss those days.
