Great video as always! I've personally been using Sonya, I find her 14% grab to be super helpful with Johnny's strike-throw game, and she's just really fun to use in general, especially in combos

Sub zero also got a hidden buff last patch, you can input his advancing shoulder after doing ice armor, allowing you to use the shoulder move as an ambush. It's a hard knockdown and it costs a full kameo meter but can still be useful if you really want to get in or need to cover a special move recovery. It's basically a full-kameo meter version of kano ball.

Not saying its good or not but I think it was Kanimani that used cyrax johnny and made it look pretty insane he was hitting for consistent 400 damage in rips arena's 5v5

Cyrax is still good, having no block pressure is a weird one because personally that's what I look for in a Kameo but the damage and throw combos he gives are definitely great 👌

Just started labbing with tremor and he’s a slept on kameo for Johnny not only bonus health but can give free extenders on nut punch allowing for hype combos, 48 % combos, fatal blow unblockable reset set ups. Also gives new mix ups with after shock low, ranged projectiles, blocks projectiles, and armor. Overall it’s pretty sick

Something situational but really crazy with Frost/Sub is that they give you fatal blow reset mixups. You can do freeze into fullcharge b2 and then do fatal blow and then get a meaty unblockable fatal with no scaling lol, the only thing the opponent can do is delay wakeup, which you can counter by just delaying the fatal to meaty the delayed timing. Its really easy to learn the different meaty timings.

I think sub is pretty good hit confirm to freeze and you can build hype. Third combo does 45 Then you get the extra health

You need to understand gaps. Jailing takes away gaps.

Simply put, doing a move into another move results in the opponent having no options but block or get hit. ' Technically, its down to frame advantage. If you are +10 ON HIT, you do Johnny f3 which is 9 frames STARTUP, you will jail it. If you however do anything slower than 10 frames (11 or more) they can armour out or even press depending on how slow the button is.

He has never gotten free ones. He hasn't won a single offline tournament. Even the Johnny players switched to other characters or the ones that stick with Johnny get eliminated

I gave up on Johnny, I can literally play the whole roster but him 😂. He's too short range, you got to shimmy 24/7, his 50/50s not real against low lives & his mids pretty slow. He's bottom tier along with Quan Chi & Kung Lao.

@@The_AmazingRoger Far from it. Regardless how good you are, " YOU STILL HAVE TO FIGHT HARD AF TO GET IN WITH THEM T-REX ARMS. Without Kano/Kung Lao he's literally FREE.
